Outside of SAAND’s musical prowess, his contribution to the southern California-based music publication Music is 4 Lovers shouldn’t be short-changed. As the Director and Senior Editor, Michael regularly exhibits years of music knowledge to the outlet which has helped advance its reach far beyond its California walls. Music Is 4 Lovers has distinguished itself as a prominent independent music publication and Michael’s influence is clear. Frankly, this is a great example of what makes an artist and a tastemaker.

COLE KNIGHT - STORYTELLERS @COVA SANTA IBIZA 24/07/22

It’s time for the next instalment of the Get Physical radio show, which once again features music from the label and close associates. September’s selection is awash with a wealth of on-point tracks, opening with the delightful ‘Valencia’ by Monkey Safari, from their recent ‘Body Language’ album. The duo feature heavily this month with three further superb remixes of BLOND:ISH, Andhim and Djuma Soundsytem with Westerby. 

Our friends at Sounds of Khemit are at the heart of things again with a pair of melodic gems from Raw Main and label co-founder Nhii, alongside Hot Oasis. The rest of the mix sees not to be missed cuts from DJ Pierre, with his BBC Radio 1 bomb ‘Love Desire’, Roland Leesker’s electro tinged ’The Demon at Rashomon’ and Cocada duo Nu Azeite at their best with ‘Vem Pro Mar’.

Our recording series is an ad hoc project, which captures special moments we shared with dear friends.

Habibi is a place of legends, an intimate underground venue, which is run by, and brings together pioneers of the Tunisian underground techno and house scene, alumni of The Plug, HYPE and Art Fair.

It is the home to DA CHE's House of Habibi residency, an inclusive gathering of music lovers, curators, actors of the local underground music scene and friends.  A night where artists can play freely to a friendly and sophisticated crowd and take risks, to develop their ideas, sound and unique identity. 

This recording is the soundtrack to a night in Gammarth, a reunion of dear friends,  with a shared passion for house music, a cycle which started with a Renaissance CD, a night at The End and a shared history that comes full circle.

"As a DJ and a producer I always try to be authentic and to reflect what I feel. Being able to record a 3 hour and 33 minute set for a well respected platform like Flow is an opportunity I did not want to miss.
I plunged myself into the deep and more obscure tracks in comparison to the stuff I usually play at clubs or big festivals and I went to a club in my hometown Ghent (BE) to record this mix on a big sound system in order to immerse myself into a real flow.
Starting out with some really deep electronic music for the first hour in order to create the perfect vibe and then to build onwards to what I consider a timeless vibe.”
