The self-titled EP features lead track Out of My World and is accompanied by 4 other tracks, all recorded in their hometown of Copenhagen. The listing of the EP is as follows:

The EP is the second release on Tough Love Records, following the release of AA-side single So Long Sun/Love Stands Still at the end of 2014. The limited 7” sold-out and Pitchfork were quick to praise the A-side and hone in on their musical influences: “The song oozes effervescent warbles—from vocalist Martin Rehof, and the interplay of shimmering guitars, and lovely crescendos of reverb, reminiscent of early Stone Roses.” (Pitchfork)

Communions, made up of brothers Martin and Mads Rehof, Jacob van Deurs Formann and Frederik Lind Köppen, are fast-gaining attention for their transcendent melodies, delicate guitar lines and emotive pop songs about naivety and youth.

"I recorded 'Room' after a week of frustration where i couldn’t record anything that didn’t feel like crap and I was unsure whether to push it any further or to just give up. I always struggle with knowing when to rest or when to keep going. It was around midnight and I just felt really frustrated with myself, so i made some coffee and then i went out for a long walk and when I got back I decided to try one more time and I wrote and recorded it within an hour or so." 

Osterberg's frankness about the conception of 'Room' is only equal to the honesty and openess which she pours into her music. "Making music is my way of making sense of myself and my feelings," she says. "All of my emotions and thoughts are always very contradictory and i cant read them very well but out in a song i can sort of make sense of it better."

'Room' is the first new Sea Lion recording to surface since two well-received EPs released last year through Turnstile (Perfume Genius, Christopher Owens, Cate Le Bon et al): 'Big Moon EP (Early Songs)' which was released in October, and 'Cobra Eyes EP' which preceded it in June. Linn Osterberg is currently preparing her debut LP, which is slated for a summer 2015 release on Turnstile.

Fierce Creatures emerged from the scorching Fresno, CA summer of 2009. Abandoning past musical undertakings that never seemed to fit quite right, the band came together to build a fresh identity, free of limitations, focused on the joy of undiluted music. They drew inspiration from the melodic heritage of classic rock and pop, as well as the grandeur and spirit of its inventive successors. By reinterpreting musical conventions and pursuing a song wherever it leads, Fierce Creatures has created something new and altogether enchanting.

Guitar and keys drive the songs, but don’t restrict them. Mandolin, harmonica, and bells accentuate the sound, with chanting choruses and a miscellany of percussion. The product is a cultivated art-pop that fluctuates from delicate anthems to soaring ballads. Fierce Creatures’ self-produced, self-released debut EP, I Mostri Feroci, arrived in July 2010. They will be releasing their first full-length album, Catacomb Party, on August 7th, 2012 via Paper Garden Records.

The Cars - Who's Gonna Drive You Home

While on a recent tour of the Western United States, London-based The KVB moved heaven and earth to make this wonderfully meditative 3-part episode possible. Working with award-winning documentary filmmaker Alix Lambert (The Mark of Cain), cinematographer Conor Simpson, engineer Griffin Rodriguez and editor Forrest Borie, the episode employs a simple set of colored gels, soft shadows, playful synth melodies, one cranky drum machine, one enormously loud Jazzmaster, and two unflinching performers. Welcome to the bracingly Zen-like inner-world of The KVB.  

BIO
The KVB is the prolific A/V outlet of artists Nicholas Wood and Kat Day. Combining goth-tinged, abstract imagery with a love of shoegaze guitars, minimal synths, reverb-drenched vocals and rigid beats, Nicholas initially started The KVB as a solo project. After frequent collaborations throughout 2011, Kat Day joined permanently on synths and visuals. Fast on the heels of several EPs and limited-edition cassettes, 2012 saw the release of the band's acclaimed first LP, Always Then, soon followed by tours of the UK, EU, and Western US. In early 2013, The KVB released Immaterial Visions via NYC's Cititrax imprint. If your musical tastes veer toward hypnotic minimal wave and snarling post-punk, The KVB will definitely satisfy your darkest Psychocandy-esque cravings.
