Originally I was going to release a lighter song about femininity and grace first. A song dedicated to my daughters to move into my first set of solo releases outside of Neon Cities (https://soundcloud.com/neoncities).  But after thinking about it, it became quite clear that the last year of life had weighed me with so much sorrow, and rage, and pain, that the first releases needed to be this darker material.  The songs I wrote to cope with death, to cope with the pain caused by a global pandemic.  The songs I used to deal with the mass indifference I saw to the suffering of other human beings.  This simply necessitated that this material come first.  The songs needed to be free of me, and me of them.  

These songs, and the sense of community I find in darker and harder music, helped me work through the sorrow.  The community aspect was taken from us, but the songs were not.  Without question, I wrote these songs to help me process first and foremost, but also in the songs lies some hope they might help others. That the work may bring others some peace, some closure.  I hope these songs, or really….any song, can serve as a checkpoint, to say  “this is behind me now, and I can let myself feel, and well, just be, other things.” These songs still can make me to cry, or get me belligerently pist, and many times, that is exactly what I need for the work.  

For your consideration, for our dead, and most importantly, for those of us they leave behind. May we all find some sense of peace at the disco, or, simply in our headphones.  

Also, please get vaccinated if you are not medically prohibited from doing so.  We have buried enough folks from this.

Hello! It's been a while. Omega is no more, but I'm leaving all the old tunes up because lots of you still listen to them all the time, for which I'm endlessly grateful. Hopefully the name change doesn't throw anybody off, it's still me (Chris). I've just evolved a lot in my production and artistic vision, and after such a long break from releasing stuff it didn't make sense to come back with the old alias, and so Acharya is born.

This is a mini mix of tunes I'll be releasing over the next several months, but I wanted to give everyone a preview to go along with the rebrand.
