The Virtues Of Loss is the result of profound revelations, which came along a self-healing journey into the dark.  Bringing this down unders mix to life became a creative guide that helped us find a spark of light to navigate the path in trust once again. And so, we felt inspired to translate all the wisdom we learned into 5 hours of musical landscapes to spread that brightness to all those wounded hearts ready to embrace healing.   

We are ALL letting go of someone, something, or somewhere … most of the time, even letting go of an identity within ourselves. 

Let’s inspire each other by sharing our gifts as we navigate high tides. Raising the sail is not a one man’s job; we are in this together.

After witnessing the community’s overwhelming positive response to our latest down unders sets, we were inspired to create live journeys where the senses can be immersed into a poetic orchestra that soothes the nervous system while opening inner doors towards discovery and self-transformation. An abundance of gratitude to Zohar, Pati, Sawyer, Jonnie, Gary, Liz, Mathilde, Tati, Ricardo, Margot, Lars, Burgs, Mooji, and many of my dear friends & extended family for being such a supportive inspiration through this profound journey these past 2 months. Just received the recording of this moment from the summer and in the midst of a very dynamic and energetic touring season, this is probably the set I felt most in flow with, and yet the most intimate of all, at home in the region of Mattawinie.

Now a yearly tradition, our close group of friends has been co-creating an estival celebration in the North of Québec in a village called St-Zénon. This gathering evolved so much over the years, strengthening friendships and an inspiring sense of community, healing, co-creation, love and overall total fun. 

I had the chance to play on the patio of the wooden cabin on the Friday afternoon, over looking the Boréal forest. As Pachamama was dancing with us, rain, clouds, sun and stars were part of the journey while I was soundtracking the sunset with some of my favourite humans. 

As I didn't share any sets in the recent months, I feel this could capture really well summer 2023 for me, and hopefully, for you as well!

Grateful for all the Zénon family for co-creating this space and for David, Vincent & Vincent for gifting me the chance to play music in this special setting.  Thanks to my love Ashlee for the cover picture. 

I dedicate this set to friendship, that special family we choose, and that chooses us back.

Coco's Capital Xtra Guest Mix: Submotion Orchestra

My second Friends Club and my 5th Higher Eduction event, these folks have been so good to me. This time they slotted me at 1am, after Henry Pope absolutely crushed the dance floor. It was quite the scene to walk into. I was hella nervous. The collection of people at this event was divine. The perfect combination of kind, open-hearted, beautiful, sexy, connected and fully self-expressed – and chomping at the bit for more. When I started I barely looked up from behind the decks, but I felt nothing but love and support oozing from my family of friends and by the 4th track we were rolling. The time flew by and then I got to hand the decks off to the world-class, and one of my favourites: Just Emma. They played a divine set that carried us into the wee hours of the morning. It was all pure magic. Thank you Higher Ed xx
