Pure Space returns with a certified dancefloor heater from local Eora-Sydney artist Command D.

First heard through the Inner Varnika festival soundsystem this year ‘Musik’ comes as an audacious dance cut, bolstered with aggressive drum programming, a punching bassline and playful sampling.

The vocals that carry the tune are reminiscent of many 90s dance tunes; simple yet purposeful to those rolling deep on a dancefloor.

Kepler always has his finger on the pulse of new sounds and ideas, but also has a keen ear for a timeless classic and digging for undiscovered nugz. The blend of both worlds has shaped his sound, forward-thinking but twinged with inspiration from other eras. ‘Taste’ is his latest self released side-print, a delve into an electro-hinging side of his sound but still sporting his typically techy style.

Hyper Love EP (Bandcamp Exclusive)

Enzo Leep’s latest EP, Concrete Jungle, is an evocative exploration of sound, memory, and raw emotion. Centred around its hypnotic title track, this release melds the gritty energy of house and electro with shimmering echoes of new wave, channelling the unmistakable spirit of pre-ruta Valencia while pushing firmly into uncharted sonic territory. The project is as much a celebration of the pioneers of the past—like the legendary Fran Lenaers—as it is a deeply personal reflection on the evolution of electronic music.

Quentin Gas joins the fold, adding lush, live-influenced instrumentation that gives the EP a cinematic dimension, while Juaan’s remix of Concrete Jungle delivers a dancefloor weapon packed with eerie techno, pulsating house, and sharp-edged electro. His distinct style, now part of the theBasement family, ensures the EP resonates long after the last note fades.

Closing the journey, the EP’s final moments feel like a Sunday dedication—a bittersweet ode to the fleeting happiness that festivals embody, to the collective euphoria of the weekend, and the emotional hangover it leaves in its wake. Concrete Jungle captures both the chaos and catharsis of those experiences, making it not just an EP but a powerful sonic memoir of a time, a place, and a feeling.

SY’s "Warehouse 92", nestled as the A2 track on his Metamorphosis EP released via Baldo’s Physical Education, is a nostalgic yet fresh dive into the golden era of rave. The Manchester-born, Portugal-based producer taps into his years of experience, crafting a piece that channels the raw energy of early ‘90s warehouse scenes while maintaining a contemporary edge.

Opening with driving percussion and a pulsating bassline, "Warehouse 92" wastes no time in setting a high-octane, dancefloor-focused tone. The track’s proggy undercurrent is enhanced by a subtly trance-infused melody, weaving through layers of atmospheric pads. The result is a symbiotic blend of gritty, old-school rave aesthetics and uplifting harmonics, striking a delicate balance between rawness and euphoria.

There’s an authenticity in SY's approach, as the track feels like a love letter to the underground warehouse culture of the early ‘90s, yet it doesn’t come off as mere nostalgia.
