Guy Choi is a DJ/Contents Creator based in Melbourne, Australia. Born and raised in Busan, South Korea, Guy had an early exposure to western pop culture when he moved to Canada at the age of 14. Having completed 10 years of schooling in Vancouver and Toronto, he moved to Berlin to explore underground electronic music culture and hone his craft as a DJ. In this 4 year journey, he has established himself as an eclectic selector and completed an internship at Warm agency. In May 2022, Guy moved to Melbourne with an ambition to build a sustainable Djing career. With his expertise in diverse range of music selections and social marketing skills, he landed himself numerous gigs from the very first week of relocating to the scene. Currently holding multiple monthly residencies in key venues such as Music Room, Rooftop Bar, Runner up and Curious Bar, he is looking to take his craft to the next level.

CR#001 - Guy Choi

An hour-long voyage for Crumpler Radio. A utility mix fit for (almost) any purpose, which in my eyes, is synonymous with the brand’s ethos - ambient dub, downtempo breaks and blissed out house. This mix goes deep, atmospheric and sometimes quirky, with the intention of putting the listener in a state of bliss. The kind of mix you want to put on in the background if you’re working or chilling around the house :~)

Expect music from local producers Alex Albrecht, Thomas Gray & Liam Ebbs and international artists such as Seb Wildblood & Laraaji, Yetsubi and COLA REN, as well as exclusives from myself and Rob LFO.

CR#003 - Rino

Command D is a producer and DJ living and working on Gadigal Land in Eora/Sydney. His productions tie together dub techno, underground house and contemporary club to create stimulating atmospheres with plenty of subtle details. While his DJ’s sets draw from a wider range of influences, they’ve always got the dance in mind. Expect moments of introspection, catharsis and bliss, all floating around in a smoke haze.

Been in Australia for 10 years, loved in a Montreal for 12 and born and raised in Bulgaria. I used to run a night called Bun Dem, then High Drive where we played dancehall, uk rap and uk dance stuff and eventually moved on to playing breaks and club music and starting a label called Third Degree and an event by the name of Gassed. But in this mix I go back to the nostalgia of dancehall, Afro rap, uk rap, what I really like listening to on the regular these days. It’s good to slow down ;) Currently waiting for some of my own production to be released on a couple of platforms and working on a next album with my own vocals, and a bunch of bootlegs as usual.

kāmna is a curator and dj based on Wurundjeri country. kāmna selects and shares music as a way to connect her heritage, her present and her hopes for the future. A key member of Kerfew collective, kāmna believes in the sharing of sound as a way to form connection, community and push for collective spaces that feel comfortable, fun and progressive. This mix for Crumpler Radio is an early summer imagining for her growing family and a future of freedom.

Gallery B is a DJ and producer living and working on Larrakia Land in Garramilla/Darwin. Her productions span shades of ambient, downtempo, and dub to build lush, nostalgia-laden atmospheres. Known for her expansive DJ selections, Gallery B specialises in long-form sets, artfully sprinkling curveballs and euphoric reveries throughout. Whether riding the mixer or probing synths expect tidy mixes, absorbing sounds and a big smile on your face.

Kuta is a Ngunnawal and Ngambri based radio host and dj. His curiosity for music knowledge and history has resulted in a widely versatile sound drawing from a range of genres. Caressing rooms with rare street-soul, reggae as well as IDM and professing deep dubs across many sound landscapes. Unbound by genre, speed or time, kuta’s intricate genre blends and wide arsenal provide brain-tingling experiences. An extensive digger both digital and analog has seen kuta fast rising within the club circuit and music scene within Australia and more recently overseas, as well as sharing lineups with Soichi Terada, Sleep D, Klon Dump, Reptant, Prosumer, DJ Jnett, Lauren Hansom, AceMo, Reptant, Kia, DJ Spen as well as party host putting on stints with Melbourne Deepcast, Toast and more!

Colette is a DJ with intrinsic musical taste derived from her Cape Town ancestry, and a lifetime of involvement in the thriving hotbed that is the Melbourne music community. Her selections traverse Jazz, House, R&B and all shades of dance music. 

With a passion for the get down, she made her Boiler Room debut in 2023 and has held residencies at several renowned Melbourne institutions such as The Toff in Town, for the Now Here This Jazz showcase; The Late Show at Revolver Upstairs, and Hope St Radio’s live broadcast series. 

Colette's mantra of ‘good times, vibe and dance’ drives all genres she’s known for from bass-heavy dance floor jams, to smooth grooves and always, soul.

This is a recording of a performance we did, supporting Unknown Mortal Orchestra on the Melbourne leg of their recent Australia tour.

Being a “warmup” set allowed us to indulge in the build, slowing developing the energy and momentum of the piece, hyping the crowd up for the night ahead. We recognised that we were a slightly unusual support billing for a rock band, and so decided to lean into that. The atmosphere initially is almost unsettling, maybe even making the audience question if they’re at the right gig. 

In this set we explored new gear, techniques and choreographic scores live with the dancers for the first time, while also pulling from our large library of existing material. Throwing it all in the blender to find new, surprising, exciting sound worlds. There’s a section in the middle called ‘checkerboard’ where you can hear the music flicking abruptly between two different modes. We love this as a structural tool in our sets, and it provides a nice opportunity to reset the energy. Towards the end, we start a chant of ‘U-M-O’ to remind the crowd ‘yes, this is all correct.’

Casper Collins’ is a Melbourne DJ whose selections tend to be rooted in rhythm, groove and fervency. He places a strong emphasis on connection to the music and to one another… This mix however, is a vast collection of tracks that play as a soundtrack to a journey through various altered mental states... Groovy.

Daisy Records is a Berlin/Naarm based online record store, record label, DJ duo and event series. As well as hosting their monthly show on their Noods Radio residency, the duo pushes annual parties and compilations through their label. Their musical offerings comprise of a wide range of listening and dance music, including ambient soundscapes, 90s downtempo, trip-hop, street soul, house and dubbed out techno.

Having recently relocated to the Netherlands earlier this year and now approaching a cold and long Dutch winter, I've found myself feeling homesick and missing the Australian natural landscape. This has led me to revisit music which transports me back, and I've tried to capture that nostalgia in this mix. 

The selections are all tracks which have personal significance and which I hold closely to my fondest memories of the Australian landscape. Whether these are productions from Australian artists, tracks which complement the space and soundscape of Australian nature or those which soundtracked memories of mine formed in this environment. They span across field recordings, ambient, dreamy downtempo and slow stepping IDM, all sitting in the 95-100bpm range. For me personally, the atmosphere of these tracks captures the awe and beauty of the Australian landscape.

I acknowledge the traditional owners of the landscapes and land which this mix references, the Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung peoples, and pay respects to elders past, present and emerging.

This mix was inspired by an incredible place, Crato, Portugal, where I spent some of the most inspiring 9 weeks of my life last year with a very inspiring group of people. The life we lived was simple yet thoughtful, slow, and full of love. Some of the music chosen I heard on the land there for the first time and I can’t wait to be back soon.

Jai is a DJ born and raised in Melbourne, surrounded by a deep love for music from day one, Jai grew up soaking in sounds passed down by family and shared among friends. His journey started early, attending festivals with his family as a kid, and now creating those same spaces with his crew. Rooted in the belief that the best things come from nothing but passion and intention, Jai finds inspiration in the simple moments, the spark of a new idea, the rhythm of connection, and the stories told through sound. His sets reflect that spirit: raw, honest, and always evolving.

This mix showcases what Ashoooka considers to be some of his best work, beginning with a selection of jazz tracks and gradually moving through vaporwave and synth-inspired pieces, trap, experimental hip hop, and electronic music. The producer, based in Bendigo, Victoria, specialises in jazz-related production. Known primarily for his 80s-inspired beats and nostalgic sounds, his work is not confined to one style. He is on a journey to master every genre.

Paramat is an Eora-based DJ and co-founder of General Merchant, a label and event series central to the city’s underground scene. Known for sharp, thoughtful and unpredictable sets, he has hosted top local and international artists, released curated records, and is now teaming up with gi for a new regular party series.
In the current mix, he moves between genres, tempos and moods, weaving in pure dub and steppaz, some of his favourite sounds to blend, creating a fresh, subtly tense and surprising journey without overcomplication.
Over the past five years, he has played festivals like Soft Centre, Mode and Woodburnia, performed at clubs and third spaces across the east coast, and supported acts including CCL, Zuli, Loraine James, Helena Hauff and Objekt. His work has featured on platforms such as Animalia, The Lot Radio and Pure Space.
