Paramat is an Eora-based DJ and co-founder of General Merchant, a label and event series central to the city’s underground scene. Known for sharp, thoughtful and unpredictable sets, he has hosted top local and international artists, released curated records, and is now teaming up with gi for a new regular party series.
In the current mix, he moves between genres, tempos and moods, weaving in pure dub and steppaz, some of his favourite sounds to blend, creating a fresh, subtly tense and surprising journey without overcomplication.
Over the past five years, he has played festivals like Soft Centre, Mode and Woodburnia, performed at clubs and third spaces across the east coast, and supported acts including CCL, Zuli, Loraine James, Helena Hauff and Objekt. His work has featured on platforms such as Animalia, The Lot Radio and Pure Space.
