Win or lose he'd find himself back in the house by 5PM on a couch, feet propped up, with a cigar, facing an old stereo listening to jazz, and lounge-y tunes. This track instantly brought back that image, so vivid that I can smell the smoke. I appreciate how CRWN (aka King Puentespina) strung bits together to form a cohesive whole in 'New Yorker', and I appreciate the mood he created from this. Music can mean anything to different people; to be able to relate to one shows the ability of the songwriter to create a connection.
