Pastoral Acid EP

Electronic artist Robin Price, known as CRX091081GB, is becoming the Camracid. The Camracid is a migratory bird capable of carrying a synthesiser in its claws and a tune in its heart. Like a magpie the Camracid is attracted to the shiny metal surfaces of fine vintage electronics and hoards them in its nest.

His previous releases on the Bohemian Club and Travin’ Systems led him to dress for radio, playing a live set on London’s art music station Resonance 104.4 FM in a ridiculous gold cape as well as gigs supporting the likes of Future Image, Scrase and Chris Moss Acid.

He's gone down the DIY route for this C40 release, taking control of not only the synths but designing the artwork, video and laser cutting a cassette sleeve (laser cut recycled cardboard smells fantastic). ‘Becoming the Camracid’ is 40 minutes of slightly disturbed ambient and dubby coastal vibes with a heavy birdsong theme running throughout. The music charts the Camracid's journey from feeling 'the fear' in the city, moving through the countryside ‘pastorale’  to redemption and 'the warmth' found living somewhere wild with a lot of synths. 

C40 cassette limited edition of 100, each pea green cassette comes with laser cut sleeve, printed sticker artwork and private download code.
