I sorted through some lyrics I had compiled over the past few months and used a chord progression I came up with independently to come up with this bad boy. I titled it "The Dark Sea" but its alternate title is "The Observer." I was on the fence with that one

Tell Me is the second single from my upcoming album, Hilo. Hilo is the soundtrack to a story of dying while being alive, transforming, and becoming reborn while trying to hold dearly to whom one has been. 

3 years ago, my life changed when I learned I had been adopted. In an instant, nothing seemed real. I would drift into a deep depression. Psychologically, it was too much to bear. During this turmoil, before therapy and support from family and friends ultimately helped bring peace, my wife and I traveled to Barcelona. I forgot about my inner crisis momentarily in this magical city of Gaudí, nightclubs, and beaches. On trains and in hotel rooms, I wrote this--a love song in the midst of a tempest.
