This Extra Hot Summer, we made sure to make it even more difficult for people to survive with an Extra Hot Program! We’re bringing hordes of Artists down to Chania, Crete, to tell Post-Apocalyptic Tales, after 2 Years of the Pandemic! Starting on Saturday, July 2nd, and ending on Sunday, July 10th, the Festival consists of many music acts, as well as Workshops, Parties, Food Markets, and even a Rugby Match, which couldn’t miss from a Cretan Gunners Festival! We expect creatures from all around to come visit us and also celebrate with us the Opening of Youth of Dope Village! Throughout the Festival, the Post-Apocalyptic Tale, and the Post-Amazon Figure will come alive through an Open World Experience, a Game Powered by LOCKED.

The Festival, apart from a 9-day mayhem, provides FREE ENTRANCE, FREE Camping** near the Venue, and easy Transfer from various spots in Chania!
**Because we are first of all Inhabitants of this Planet, and second of all Campers ourselves, our aim for this Festival is to provide a Camping Experience that is Respectful to The Environment & The Visitor. Selecting tunes for releases on Samurai Music is difficult as there is so many great tunes on offer. The absolute cream of what we get sent makes it to releases on vinyl, so resisting the temptation of digital only releases creates a backlog of high quality tunes. Outliers is a collection of music from the Samurai family of artists that were all in contention for vinyl release, but for one reason or another slipped through the cracks. Most of these are still in heavy rotation in many of our DJ sets, so rather than hogging them, we put together a collection for a Bandcamp only release. Most of these have never been played by more than a few select Samurai DJ’s and the producer themselves. Outliers shows the depth of talent these producers have with these sitting on their HD’s without a home. We don’t plan on moving into the digital only release field any time soon so maybe we can have this series as a semi regular substitute.

Cryogenics started as a listener in the early 90s, with a growing passion for the Jungle/Drum & Bass scene. 
He started to spin records at home and then at school parties. In 1995, with his best friend at the time, they played their first DJ set in a club. He bought his first PC a year later and with ‘FasTracker2’ he tried to compose his first tunes. His first track ‘Source Code’ garnered praise and made him known within the local jungle/d&b scene. In 2001, with Requiem (Vibez Recordings/Outsider) and some friends, he started promoting their own club nights in Athens, hosting guests like Equinox, Bizzy B, Chris Inperspective, 0=0, Paradox, Phil Source and more. 
A few years later he met with Junior SP, an encounter that proved pivotal to his musical ascend. He became a resident DJ on JSP’s “Innersense” events alongside LTJ Bukem, Blu Mar Ten, Goldie, Spirit, Seba, Om Unit, Ed Rush, Doc Scott, Dom & Roland, Kryptic Minds, Commix and many more. 
His first production foray came on Timewarp’s label, Kraak Records. Counter-intuitively it was a non-d&b release.
In 2012 Cryogenics decided to launch his own label Audio Theory Records to cater for his own material and provide a platform to promote music from like-minded artists, covering a wide spectrum of bass music from deep/minimal Drum & Bass to Dubstep and Future Garage. A year later he established the sister label Evil Audio, focusing on drumfunk and modern jungle.
Cryogenics has released on a variety of record labels including the likes of Omni Music, Boomsha Recordings, Convoluted Recordings, Liquid Drops, Monochrome Recordings, Minus32, Kraak Records, Audio Theory, Evil Audio and more!
