In this episode of Crypto 101,, we talk to Sam Kazemian of Fraxlend about his grand vision he first told us about four years ago. His idea was a sustainable and transparent DeFi banking system with stablecoin issuance and core financial services. Sam walks us through the Frax economy, including Fraxlend, the Frax algorithmic stablecoin, and new future features.



We address the topic of stablecoin de-pegging, the UST debacle, and how FRAX survived the various attacks/FUD that all other stablecoins faced during the collapse of the LUNA ecosystem. Sam teaches us about the Blockchain Trilemma and how he has approached solving it, or rather creating a “holy trinity” of DeFi instead.
