"Cryptography" is a Powermetal band from Erfurt (Thuringia; Germany), consisting young and talented musicians!
Clear high-pitched vocals, profound and meaningful lyrics, songwriting of incredible contrast, hard rhythm guitars, fast and melodious soloing battles, crushing bass sounds, framing keyboard strings and pads, tight and hard drums - these are the words this auditive experience can be explained with.

"Cryptography", founded in January 2013 by the guitarrist Alexander Wiebe and the pianist Eduard Groß, is a Powermetal band from Erfurt. Both musicians had already been playing in various bands, but they have never been entirely happy with the working morale, nor with the skills of their former bandmates. And so they decided to come up with an own project, to blast apart all dimensions of grandiose music as well as virtuosity.
Due to the huge amount of already written Songs, a great vocalist (Nicky Wuchinger), another guitarrist (Phillip Vogel) and a drummer (Aaron Marks) could be recruited quite fast. In January, the band started with the production of demo-tapes. First gigs are already planned for June 2013.
