A very difficult register, not only to hit, but to maintain as well. Sometimes I found my voice subtly creeping out of Xemnas' voice because it's so difficult to keep going for a long period of time. Not because it's painful or anything, but because it takes a lot of focus.

Otherwise happy with the result. Paul St. Peter did an amazing job with the character and Xemnas is my all-time favorite villain from Kingdom Hearts.

Absolutely beautiful piece by Yoko Shimomura. Quite challenging to sing, especially when trying to reach that perfect vibrato. I love how it turned out, however.

I'm not nearly as sexy as David Lodge, but I think it turned out pretty okay. I definitely wish to refine this voice.

It's difficult to do this guy without sounding too monotone because its register in my voice has such a limited range. Each line is hit or miss depending on the expression I give because of it. 

But whatever, fuck it. 

Duke Nukem (Voice Impression)

Finally got around to recording this piece. My main gripe with this is all of the tough breathing spots. Couldn't record it altogether due to the fact that my diaphragm just can't do it. But this turned out wonderfully, I think.

Elfen Lied - Lilium (Cover)

My first attempt at a full a cappella piece. It's mostly based off of Tennessee Ernie Ford's version of the song, but parts of it were inspired by the version my high school choir performed in 2014 and other parts were my own. Everything you hear was recorded by me using a crappy USB microphone. 

I had to experiment with the stereo field and EQs a lot because I didn't really know what I was doing with those. They came out as best as I could figure out and they came pretty okay on my HD 598s and generic 5.1 speakers, so hopefully this doesn't sound like garbage on better equipment. Sorry if it does.

Sixteen Tons (A Cappella Cover)

This really made me realize that I have no idea how to EQ things no matter how hard I try. But it still sounds pretty cool. 

Also the pan law hurts my brain.

Here's the full version of my cover. Definitely one of the loudest songs I've ever mixed, and the most taxing on my voice. Played around heavily with EQing and Multiband Compression in ways I had never done. Ultimately I'm satisfied with the final result. Hope you enjoy. :)
