Next up in the in our ever evolving podcast series we’re keeping things really interesting for y’all! Ladies and gentleman we introduce to you…DJ CHIDA!

Japanese native Shinsuke Chida has consistently pushed the electronic boundaries when it comes to throwing down a serious party selection. He has become one of the go to warm up DJ’s in his native Japan, bringing the biggest players in the underground house music game to his legendary parties in his home city of Tokyo. The man is an educator and an innovator to put it simply. His label, Ene Records, has become synonymous with releasing beautifully crafted electronic gems from the likes of fellow Japanese dudes Sly Mongoose, Cos/Mes and The Backwoods AKA DJ Kent. Each release features some unreal remixes as well from some of Chida’s favourites including Prins Thomas and Eddie C amongst others. Basically, this guy knows his shit and never compromises on the sheer quality of each release.

After catching a rare set outside of Japan from this guy on our Balearic travels through Croatia we had to share this absolute gem with the masses!

東京を拠点に活動するDJ、プロデューサー。ソロプロジェクトPUNKADELIXの活動を経て、2016年よりMAYUDEPTH名義での楽曲制作を始動。日本テクノサウンドのイノベイターDJ SHUFFLEMASTER主宰の”四季協会”からEP「Sneakpeek」を発表する他ドイツの”Ohrfeigen”からも新作をリリースしている。2022年には映画監督の石原海をフィーチャーした2ND EP「Angels from Hell」を発表し、石原海監督によるMVが同時公開された。Boiler Roomを始め世界各国のラジオやプラットフォームからMIXが公開されており、2022年には”apple music”よりオフィシャルMIXをリリース。クィア・パーティ”MOTORPOOL”では主宰のDSKEと共にレジデントとキュレーションを務めるなど、常に挑戦的かつオープンな姿勢でエレクトロニック・ダンスミュージックを探求し続けている。

MAYUDEPTH （Shiki Kyokai）
DJ and producer based in Tokyo. After working on her solo project PUNKADELIX, she starts a full-scale music production under the new project MAYUDEPTH name in 2016. She released the EP 'Sneakpeek' in 2016 on the 'Shiki-Kyokai' label, run by Japanese techno sound innovator DJ SHUFFLEMASTER. She has also released new tracks on German 'Ohrfeigen' label. In 2022, a second EP, Angels from Hell, featuring film director Umi Ishihara, was released, with a music video directed by Umi Ishihara released at the same time. Her energetic mixing style has won her an global following radio and platforms around the world, including Boiler Room, and in 2022 her released an official mix on apple music. She is a resident and curator of the queer party "MOTORPOOL" held at CONTACT with DSKE, and continues to explore electronic dance music with with a challenging and open attitude.

95年からDJを開始。川崎工場地帯の某工場屋上にて行われているインダストリアル・レイブ・パーティー「DK SOUND」で、k404とのTraks BoysとしてレジデントDJを務める。バンド(((さらうんど)))、Jintana & Emeraldsのメンバーとしても活動中。2016年2月、Crue-L Recordsより1stソロアルバム「Skygazer」リリース。

He teamed up with his friend k404 as the DJ duo Traks Boys, who also produced numbers of their own music including “Starburst / Yellow Birds” released under Internasjonal, a Norwegian record label organized by Prins Thomas. Crystal, his solo project, maintains constant releases from labels such as Crue-L Records, Beats In Space Records . As a DJ, he keeps the weekend floors floaty, euphoric and groovy. In 2016, he not only renewed his alias to XTAL –still the same pronunciation as Crystal– but released his 1st solo album “Skygazer” from Crue-L Records. The album is conceptually experimental but still clearly shows his endless interest in and love for House, Techno, Disco, and Japanese City Pops.
