This is a score for a film by Isabelle Harada, premiered at the Artist Television Access, MISSION EYE & EAR #6, new film+music collaboration project event. The showing was September 12, 2014, featuring myself,(Crystal Pascucci - cello), Lisa Mezzacappa (bass), Steve Adams (saxophone and flute), and Suki O'Kane (percussion).

Truth In A Mythic Beast

robert and I have been playing in a free improv group, Opera Wolf for several years. we met at mills college and were having fun with this duo improvisation of drums and cello. i was using a looping pedal, prepared strings and was amplified.

this solo set was based on a loose structure. the show was at the center for new music in san francisco, feature on the switchboard presents music series. i used a looping pedal and was amplified. notes and rhythms were freely improvised.

i composed and recorded this bit of music for a video for the SF Ballet. The film depicts the dedication, strength and skill required of dancers of this discipline. i had a great time on this project! i <3 ballet

this piece was written by Mark Clifford (http://www.markcliffordmusic.com/) and he is playing vibraphone on this recording. Transverse Process is a long-form song for vibraphone and cello with sections of improvisation. the piece has many iterations with varying instrumentation. this duo is called, "Two Aerials" -- more to come!

"resonance imaging" for bass clarinet and marimba, is a piece of reflection. timbres and rhythms within the piece mimic those heard while undergoing an MRI test. the phrases unfold as a testimony to claustrophobia; claustrophobia caused by being held in that type of medical machine, and the captive feeling caused by illness. illness is unyielding; it has no sense of reasoning or rationality. illness is something i've struggled with all my life. i was diagnosed with Lupus sixteen years ago and it has profoundly shaped my life, personality and perspective. my experiences in MRI machines have been musical ones. i wanted to share some of the many complex rhythms, sounds, feelings and parallels inspired by those experiences. "resonance imaging" was written for Transient Canvas and premiered on January 31, 2016 in San Francisco, CA.

The Living Room Players is a chamber music collective based in Hartford, CT. The group aims to present new and standard repertoire in relaxed, sometimes informal environments in hopes of reviving traditional chamber customs and performance practices.
