My as part of my AI Art Project on SoundCloud, this is an electronic remix of “Bloodbuzz Ohio” by The National. It features robotic vocals, adding a futuristic twist to the original song. The project creatively weaves together imagery of a swarm of bees, a telescope gaze, and an adventurous journey to Ohio. 🎶🤖🔭

This is the kind of writing I had always dreamed to accomplish.  Jason Buzon and I were in separate bands but shared a band mate.  He had a song he wanted to work on together and lived right up the road.  This turned into free form writing/collaboration.  The kind that's much more common in cities like NY and Nashville.  In Pittsburgh, this was a treat.  

We wrote some of the best music of my life.  We could write songs in minutes.  I'm so grateful for the experience.  This was recorded in my home with an AKG mic shared between the two of us.  One take.

Greed

The single “Galaxy” was recorded at Interscope Records in conjunction with a nationwide songwriting competition on the new app Wurrly.  Crystal Lee Morgan competed by writing the lyrics and melody for four different songs from a selection of freestyle tracks on the WURRLY app. Crystal was announced as the winner in August, and the grand prize was an invitation to a studio session at Geffen Records in Los Angeles (CA), with expert A&R and production advice from Neil Jacobson - the President of Geffen Records.  Though Neil was not available for the meeting, Evan Schoebrun (A&R) and Andrew Boyd (Sound Engineer) were excellent hosts for the session.

Crystal Lee Morgan is currently in studio working with Devin O’Loughlin and is set to unveil more new music in the coming weeks as well as many more songs on Wurrly.

This is the first song I wrote on the Ukulele.  I was writing in code because I was dancing around telling someone how I felt about them.

Song Bird

I drafted this version of the song from The Sound of Music for Debra Cook's "A Few of My Favorite Things" show at Club Cafe.  This was the sold out debut of Deb's company Steel Kitty Productions.

I'm grateful someone captured this audio because it was absolutely a perfect night.  If you've ever been to Club Cafe (prior to remodel) you know that it's a great listening room.  But this is impressively quiet for a sold out show.

April 8, 2015 10:19:31 PM I recorded a rehearsal with the incredible Donna Greco.  We used to perform music every week for the Unity Church in Friendship (Pittsburgh).  This was one of the BEST songs to sing for the congregation.  

I found a few recordings on a recording app on my phone.  So happy to hear these songs again.

Rain Down (Live)

I wrote this song on March 27, 2015.  It's been hiding in my secret recordings app.  I am releasing it today for those who have been listening.

I'm sure I was thinking of a million things when I wrote it.  As I listened, I thought of my mom.  She passed away a long time ago, but still made me smile to think of her.  I've included a picture of her and I from a beach photobooth in the 80s.

I Miss You

I'm working on new music and shared something in Dropbox, only to find a hidden treasure.  This is an acoustic version of the original demo for Quiet Undone.  I wrote this song in my living room when I heard it on the wind.  The melodies are inflected with an Elton John sort of attack. 
 The sounds and words I heard, reminded me of reading the words for "Thunder Rolls" but in the woman's perspective.  That foreshadowing tension is so powerful in music.  We hear music in the silent pauses of our own choas.  It keeps the situation alive.  Think of a breakup.  John Mayer's song Slow Dancing in a Burning Room devoured me for 3 years. 
 I'm still cut when I hear it.  May what influences me, influence you toward positivity. #ForwardMotion
