I plugged my Rocksmith cable into the Mac and my bass guitar just to see what would happen. I used the cello's 5th interval tuning instead of the standard 4th interval tuning.

My daughter, Alaya, is about to perform this piece for her 100x concert. I was recording her when she asked me to play on my cello. I don't really play, so this is me fumbling through the piece with a cello I've played once before.

Song of the Wind

About 3 weeks since the first recording. Still rough, but a bit nicer. I have to admit, though, that I didn't practice for about a week.

Bach's Minuet in G - This is the more familiar one. This is my 2nd sight read-through of this piece. It is difficult to listen to me spend 2.5 minutes playing 16 measures. But it is a baseline.

Alaya Vaughan - Summer 2016

I'm a father of two musical girls. I was a musician in high school, but quit playing for nearly 20 years. My girls' interest in music has inspired me to take piano lessons again. I started in January 2015.  My oldest daughter is learning piano and cello. I'm using SoundCloud to share our progress as we learn, play, and have fun.
