I've Got You Under My Skin

The CSC Professors of Jazz entertained audiences in Western Nebraska from 2007-2013, performing a mix of jazz standards and original compositions. The band performed for Gering's Oregon Trail Days, the Sturgis BAM Festival, the Alliance Arts Council, Gordon's Willow Tree Festival, CSC's own Jazz Festival, and many high school clinics and concerts in Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming. The group provided a performance outlet for the faculty, as well as a model of jazz performance for the region. The group was fronted by vocalist Joel Schreuder, with Stephens on saxophone and Adam Lambert on trumpet. The regulars in the rhythm section were drummer Sandy Schaefer, pianist Jim Margetts, and guitarist Charles Carey. The Professors were fortunate to have the services of several bassists throughout the group's tenure, including Jerome Vogel, David Barger, and Conrad Gachne.
