‎نیما گورجی، در سال ١٩٧٢ در تهران متولد شد. پدرش گیتاریست بود، به همين دليل نيما از سنين پايين در موسيقى بود. از ٥ سالگى همراه مادرش در پشت صحنه ، به نواختن پدرش گوش ميداد. او همراه خانواده خود در سال ١٩٧٩ از ايران مهاجرت و در نهايت در ١٩٨٤ مقيم كشور دانمارك شدند.

در دانمارك شور وشوق أو نسبت به موزيك بيشترو شروع به كيبورد زدن در يك گروه كه خيلى از گروه هايى نظير Depeche Mode و New Order الهام ميگرفت شد . در سال ١٩٨٩ او اولين ركورد دمو خود را در يك استوديو  حرفه اى انجام داد و همزمان كلاسهايى را در مدرسه موسيقى دانمارك پشت سر ميگذاشت. ‏‎درست بعد از إتمام مدرسه در سال ١٩٩٠ او مربى خود را ملاقات ميكند، كسى كه به او ياد ميدهد چگونه با وينيل (صفحه گرامافون) ميكس و كار كند. ‏‎ازاين لحظه عشق نيما به ونيل هرگز قطع نميگردد.و براى چند سال آينده تمام تمركز او روى دى جى معطوف ميگردد. در سال ١٩٩٨ أو اولين آهنگهايش مثل Menimax كه روى ليبل logic records بود را منتشر ميكند و در اسكانديناوى شروع به كسب شهرت براى توليدات خود مثل Black Powder و مراسمهايى نظير verydisco مينمايد. ‏‎ولى پس از مدتى او ديگر از دانمارك خسته و ترجيح ميداد در ايبيزا ، جايى كه اون معمولا در كلاب هايى نظير Space , Pasha و Privilege موزيك ميذاشت بمونه ، براى همين در سال ٢٠٠٥ به اونجا نقل مكان كرد و در سال ٢٠١٠ برنده Ibiza Resident DJ award شد و بعد از ٢ سال به عضو Monza Ibiza در Sankeys در اومد. ‏‎او همچنين كه مشغول توليد آهنگهايى بر روى ليبل خود به نام Welt recordings ميباشد با ديگر ليبل ها نظير Murmur , Cecille , Oslo , و البته Monza Ibiza Records و غيره همكارى ميكند ،،، و شما ميتوانيد او را در سراسر دنيا در حال دى جى كردن پيدا كنيد ،،، هميشه با ست هاى منحصر به فرد و تعجب بر انگيز ، كه بدون هيچ واهمه اى موزيك قديم را با صداهاى جديد مخلوط ميكند و عشق اون به ونيل از أو يه اسطوره ميسازد.


Nima Gorji, was born in Teheran in 1972. His father being a guitarist, Nima got into music very young. At the age of 5, he was already listening carefully to his father while staying in the backstage with his mother. After the iranian Revolution in 1979, his family escaped from the country, and after several trial to live in germany, they finally settle down in Denmark in 1984 where he got his citizenship.

In Denmark his passion for music got bigger , and Nima started to play keyboards in a band strongly influenced by Depeche Mode, New Order and such like. In 1989 he does his first demo recording in a professional studio , meantime attending classes at the music school of Denmark.

Right after the school, in 1990 he meets his “mentor” who teaches him to spin vinyl.

From that moment his love for vinyl never stopped. For the next couple of years Nima concentrate only about djing. In 1998 he releases his first tracks as menimax on logic records, and starts achieving great success in Scandinavia through his own productions as black powder and events as verydisco.

But somehow, he got tired of Denmark and decided to settle down in Ibiza in 2005 where he plays regularly in all the clubs like Space, Pacha and Privilege, and receives the Ibiza resident dj award in 2010. Since 2 years he became a permanent resident of Monza Ibiza @ Sankeys.

He also produces various tracks released on his own label Welt recordings, and many others like Murmur, Cecille, Oslo, International Freakshow, Off recordings or Tanzbar, and of course Monza Ibiza Records, to name few of them. Meantime, you can find him spinning worldwide … Always, his sets are unique and surprising, … non obvious … seamlessly blending old school music with new productions, whilst implementing his timeless love of vinyl in his legendary performances.

Tehran Night #108 Nima Gorji (Special Guest)

Haydn Morgan broke through in house and techno through nothing other than hard graft: in 2001 he started playing as a resident DJ near his hometown of Bangor, until some years later he was also running 3 respected record labels. 

The best-known of these is almost certainly FA>lE Records, whose minimal techno sound has been favoured by Romanian stalwarts like Rhadoo. Then there’s also Curtea Veche and DreamsAreNotInside, on which he’s signed a string of typically minimalist artists from the same corner of Eastern Europe. 

As well as his Wales residency Morgan has appeared at northern institutions mumu and Louche, while he’s also a regular with us on Sunday nights at WetYourSelf! As we invite him back to the club for a full FA>lE Records showcase this Sunday, he sent us over a mix of luscious soundscapes in anticipation.

Making my return to the Playa for the sixth time held special meaning for me as it does every year. However I see Burning Man like lovers. You can't compare them, they're uniquely different experiences. And just like the complexity of lovers, my Burn was magical, beautiful, intense, emotional, intoxicating, lustful, serendipitous, mesmerizing, and yes, sometimes just a pain in the ass.

Still, after all these years, it's my favorite thing on the planet! Playing on the bus is beyond an honor. Sharing my music and reciprocating energy from that perspective with the open canvas and unparalleled conditions is an indescribable feeling. What I'm trying to say is, it all comes from the Heart.

art: Soup Flavored Blankets 

Soup Flavored Blankets creates a welcoming and interactive space dedicated to the chilly, wandering souls of deep playa. Within the walls of our cracker box, participants will experience a rag tag team of Burners providing delectable hot soups, steaming libations and cozy blankets equipped with a convenient soup/beverage pouch. Playa wanderlust exists within all of us and Soup Flavored Blankets is your rejuvenation station along the way.
We're a multifarious crew of friends from Los Angeles, Reno, Chicago and New York who share a passion for soup and service. The SFB story stems from a brief moment many, many years ago, far beyond Black Rock City's Esplanade, on a frigid deep playa evening. There, gazing at the brothtaking sky and discussing the soupernatural, sat our founder, Noodles and his brother, Max. Although initially vibrant and jovial, their topic of discussion soon shifted to the bitter cold air and a desire for simple pleasures.

"I could sure go for a blanket right now. You know, warm me up from the outside in." Max remarked as he shivered in the deepest of deep playa.

"I could go for a bowl of soup to warm me up from the inside out!" Noodles replied.
Now what followed may be the worst idea ever uttered as Max suggested: "How about a bowl of blanket flavored soup?"
In a harsh tone, Noodles replied: "That's sounds disgusting! Who want's to eat soup that tastes like blankets!?"
Hours passed and their situation worsened. But suddenly, a dusty thought shot out of the Man's neon head, blew across the playa, swirled around the temple walls and shot directly into Noodles's noggin as an idea of spectacular brilliance.
"Some Soup Flavored Blankets, now that would be warmly delicious!" He proclaimed.
Max agreed! And the two brothers jumped to their feet, crossed the cold desert floor and returned to camp to procrastinate for seven years.
As veteran burners we understand the significance of your trash fence quest and the sometimes difficult elements you encounter. Soup Flavored Blankets is a warm soupy refuge and our gift to the many wandering souls of Burning Man.
