danke für ein rauschendes fest auf der insel der freude am 10.08.2014 im peer23/ mannheim. im wahnsinn ist uns nicht direkt aufgefallen, wie knapp wir alle einer katastrophe entgangen sind. etwa nach einer stunde – mitten in unserem set – ist über das peer23 eine windhose gezogen und hat alles mitgenommen, was nicht angeschraubt war, rundherum sind blitze eingeschlagen. wir sind im nachhinein extrem froh, dass niemand zu schaden gekommen ist. das war knapp. LIEBE KINDER, DAS MACHEN WIR SO NIE NIE WIEDER UND WENN ES BLITZT UND DONNERT, DANN WIRD VOR DEM BREAK INS HAUS UMGEZOGEN!

lustigerweise ist aber das band die ganze zeit weitergelaufen und wir haben eine zweiteilige aufnahme mit einer 30 Minuten unterbrechung vorgefunden. wir haben es mit einem sample (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzj5Wu08kQU) geflickt und hoffen euch mit dieser erinnerung an einen ausnahmesonntag eine kleine freude machen zu können <3

ein riesen lob an die technik-crew, die mit schnellem handeln schlimmeres verhindert hat und dann auch noch innerhalb von 30 minuten die anlage in den innenbereich umgebaut hat. wahnsinn. alles.

Unsere 103 kommt diese Woche von den beiden Power-Frauen Isabeau Fort und Lolissa --- die zusammen das Duo Brothers bilden. The Bro's can do, man! Brothers ist ein Synonym für Zusammenhalt, Ehrlichkeit und wahre Freundschaft und genau das ist es was diese beiden Künstlerinnen verbindet. Die Liebe zur elektronischen Musik und die Welt drum rum haben die beiden zusammengeführt und schnell wurde klar zu zweit macht es doppelt so viel Spaß gute Musik zu präsentieren. 

Seit November sind die beiden nun als Brothers unterwegs und haben sich schnell mit ihrem Romantic-Deep-Tech-House in die Herzen der Hörer gespielt. Wir durften sie bereits erleben wie sie den Dance-Floor für unser Crew-Mitglied Elektro Uwe im Beate Uwe Club gerockt haben. Am Freitag waren die Beiden im Keller/Berlin zu Gast und es stehen weiter Gigs in Berlin und Wetzlar im Winter und Frühjahr an. Aber auch der Festival-Sommer 2017 schlägt seine Schatten voraus --- Zu einer Zeit … in Gardelegen, James Wood Festival und Castello Festival und das ist erst der Anfang --- lasst euch die beiden Damen und ihren Sound nicht entgehen.

In jeder Minute der 2-stündigen Reise steckt die grenzenlose Liebe für die Musik, wir sind unheimlich stolz euch dieses grandiose Meisterwerk zu präsentieren.

Beach Podcast Goes Deep 26 Mixed by Nimmers#tt

We have the captain on board the Sunset Grooves Ship for number 99! Just after he started his wonderful Seaside Trip Podcast, Sunset Grooves launched it's very own podcast. Funky Chap was featured on his podcast and ever since then had given an open invitation for Rolandson to feature on the Sunset Grooves podcast. We don't believe in coincidence, and the fact that he was not able to do one until now, seems to be wonderful timing for him to feature on last podcast before a special 100th podcast for Sunset Grooves.

Rolandson, a traveler not a tourist and this traveler of music and sounds began his voyage in the mid 90s and has since explored the depths of 90s Berlin dub & techno, the electro swing revival in Paris/ France and Brighton/ England, downtempo and indigenous sounds from all over the world during his travels and discovering many more musical impulses that have shaped his life along the years. So in this his selections are always a highly curated combination of unique tracks that are timeless and that overcome the boundaries of genre, country, or context.

This mix of almost 2 hours will take you on a downtempo journey of wonderful sounds. The effort and time went into this mix should not go unnoticed and you will with your own ears discover the magic that comes from Rolandson's muscial mind and talented hands on the decks.

For the Maya the creation of the Earth, it is said to have been a deed of Huracán, the wind and sky god. The sky and earth connected, which left no space for any beings or vegetation to grow. In order to make space, a Ceiba tree was planted. The tree grew roots in all the levels of the underworld and its branches grew into the upper world. 

The tree trunk grew to leave space on earth for animals, plants, and humans. According to Maya belief, animals and plants were extant before humans. The gods were not satisfied with only the animals because they could not speak to honor them. From there, humans were made in order to honor the gods.

Der heutige Podcast kommt von meinem Herzens-Freund Andi aka Nachti Gall. Die Liebe zur elektronischen Musik hat uns vor ca. 5 Jahren zusammengeführt und er zählt für mich zu einen der detailverliebtesten DJs die ich so kenne. Ich will gar nicht wissen wie viele Stunden er mit Suchen und Zusammenstellen der Playlist für diesen Mix verbracht hat --- einfach Soundfetischist.

Bei Andi hat es etwas gedauert bis er zur elektronischen Musik gefunden hat. Bei einem längeren Aufenthalt in Brasilien wurde er auf Techno-Partys mitgeschleppt und hat es gehasst. Zurück in Deutschland hat er sich dann gefreut endlich wieder normale Musik zu hören. Doch dann festgestellt das ihm etwas fehlt … nur was … genau die elektronische Musik. Und dann ging aber alles sehr schnell --- erstes DJ Setup und sofort die ersten Gigs in Amsterdam wo Andi auch einen Zeitlang lebte.

2013 hab ich dann Andi für unser kleines feines Festival „von Freunden für Freunde“ gebucht und ihm gleich den letzten Spot vor der Nachtpause gegeben. Was ein Abend <3. Seitdem ist Andi ein fester Bestandteil unseres kleinen Sommer-Happening --- einem Fest für Musikliebhaber und Familien.

Andi Arbeit ständig und stetig an der Weiterentwicklung seines Sounds und bleibt dabei doch immer Wandlungsfähig. Sein Anspruch an sich selbst ist immer und immer wieder die passenden Tracks zu finden und das Ganze zu einem perfekten Mix zu verweben, was ihm eigentlich immer gelingt ;-)

Andi schön dass es DICH gibt und vielen Dank für diese grandiosen zwei Stunden am Acid Pool. Und nun wünsche ich meine Hören viel Freude mit der Gesang vom der Nachti Gall.
