Purple Disco Machine is just about to release his outstanding EP on Tube & Berger and Julie Sikora's Kittball Records. Previously PDM has been at the top of the Beatport charts with his track 'My House' being #1 in the Deep House charts. 

The concept behind the EP is Purple Disco Machine’s contribution to the burgeoning piano house revival that is t1earing up clubs all over the world. By highlighting the piano riff PDM joins the likes of Dusky, Doorly & Shadowchild, MK and Bicep and pays tribute to a classic House sound that has inspired him since he started checking out the scene back in the 1990s.

DJ Mag are very pleased to bring it's readers an exclusive premiere of one of the tracks 'Where We Belong', you can listen below.

‘Where We Belong’ kicks the EP off in suitable style encompassing a combination of clear-cut percussive beats, a thick funky bassline, muted disco guitar riffs, warm piano chords and an infectious female vocal line from House diva Alex Mills which you’ll be singing all night and day – a sure-fire future classic!

The EP, named 'Purple Pianos' is out on Febuary 17th.

Berlin based enigma Claptone has just announced to the world that a new remix of Gregory Porter is coming out soon. The Grammy award winning Jazz vocalist is probably one of the coolest people walking the planet with his incredible presence and god given voice. Who else but Claptone could do this voice justice on the dance floor!?

Claptone steps out of the shadows once again with ‘The Music Got Me’, an exciting new offering from the mysterious enigma with the golden mask. 'Music Got Me' by Claptone is an authorised cover version of 'Music Got Me' by Visual which has been approved and licensed by Unidisc the rights holder.

As you would expect of new Claptone, 'The Music Got Me’ is destined for late nights and packed clubs all over, such are the enchanting powers of this otherworldly beast. However this one goes further still. The achingly cool 80s NYC disco/postpunk flavour combines with a distinct Chicago bassline to offer an exciting glimpse of the eclectic, indie vibe of his debut artist album (slated for release later this year on Different Recordings – the label that launched the careers of Crystal Castles, Tiga, Crystal Fighters, Vitalic).  

Claptone’s last two releases ‘No Eyes’ and ‘Ghost’ both topped the Beatport charts, the latter of which featured Clap Your Hands Say Yeah! (a collaboration we can only assume was arranged by some sort of séance). They went on to become enormous smashes on Berlin house label Exploited, earning the plaudits of the biggest DJs and setting Claptone off on a non-stop DJ tour across the globe.

It’s remarkable that the masked man has still found time in his tour schedule to deliver big remixes for the likes of Metronomy, The Pet Shop Boys, Rüfüs, Klaxons and Gregory Porter & more!

Kraak & Smaak keep the funk alive with the latest release on their hot new Boogie Angst imprint.
