C-Strokes (born Chimbiko Akarolo) in Port Harcourt, is a Nigeria reggae singer and an International recording artist, known for his unique voice and style in Lovers Rock. As one of the new generation contemporary reggae singers out of Africa, his sojourn into music began in the late ‘80s as a backup singer and keyboardist.

C-Strokes love for music started at a tender age from listening to African folk songs, highlife music, and native blues and Jazz, until introduced to a collection of reggae artist in 1979 by his brother, comprising of Ken Lazarus, Jimmy Cliff, Johnny Nash, John Holt, Alton Ellis, Dennis Brown, Toot & the Maytals, and the Wailers thereby falling in love with the genre. In 1988, he went on to become a member of jazz Marrazi band where he exhibited his talent and passion until the mid- ‘90s. Though he kept his music career alive during a period under review with several groups and platforms
while serving in an elected capacity.

Nonetheless, he emerged into the big scene in 2011 with his first single, “Asking for Love”, after a personal experience, a move initiated by his long time friend and Producer Konboye Sinclair. C-Strokes has several singles and albums to his name, featured and collaborated with several artists such as U-Jay, Duncan Mighty, Nelia, Posh referred to as Leydoh and Mojo Morgan of the Grammy award-winning Morgan Heritage family.
He currently in the U.S with his family.
