The idea of developing a further spin to the project was born via the majestic Nigel Lowis and his hot new mix. Rena recorded fresh vocals and the layers were constructed piece by piece - you will hear this attention to detail as the song unfolds.

Initially this was supposed to come out on the HOUSE MASTERS FRANKIE KNUCKLES Compilation on Defected.
To make a long story short... it never did, I was given the blessing from Judy Weinstein (Def Mix Productions Founder) along with Hector Romero to do as I please with this version.
I did this with my keyboardist Erik Deutsch the day after I attended Frankie Knuckles funeral because I felt like I needed to do something not just in his honor but to continue to raise awareness of who this ICON is and undoubtedly none of us house heads should ever forget.
The whistle song is what introduced me to his music so it was only right that I created a version that captured the soul & beauty of the original BUT I wanted to give it more of a BALLAD feel, a version WE CAN ALL USE to close out a great party in his honor when we have them or simply to just hear at your restaurant, lounge, chill/comfort zone.

So ENJOY THIS FREE DOWNLOAD and please play it when and where ever you can no matter where you are.

DoctorSoul is one of the hottest Parisian Disco & Soul producers, who releases his music a.o. on Yam Who?’s überhip Disco Label MIDNIGHT RIOT RECORDS from London. His releases often reach the Disco DownLoad Charts, he just reached No 1 in the Traxsource charts with “Secret Friend”. He has his own unique production style, which is always on the dubby side if things, but still very poppy and true to the original. A difficult balance, that he masters like not many others. Growing up as a child in MD DC and VA in the  Early 80/90"s. I Start D Jing at house parties and throwing private parties to make money. 

I always love music. I got my first Pioneer receiver and technique turntables when I was in high school for Xmas from my mother.

I would always ask my best friend Gerald Frisby RIP to use his mixer when I had Djing Gig because I couldn't afford one.

I first fell in love with disco music at my junior high school prom at a night club in Baltimore called Odell's. I would buy all the latest and hottest single albums to play for my sets. That when I became a house head for LIFEEEEE and I was hooked on it.

I would go to the hottest night club's in the city back in those days.
