First of all, we wish the happiest Thanksgiving to all our wonderful SoundCloud friends and family. This song began as a twinkle in Artur's eye a couple months ago. Hey composed it with his Jaguar, as that is the premium surf guitar out there, and shared it with Tez, who invited the rest of us onto the project. 
   Tez, being the first on the boat, added his thrilling guitar fills and solos first. It was kind of odd the way we did this one, in fact, with the melodic/chordal instruments first, followed by the rhythm section. That said, JJ was next up to bat, adding his magical electric piano and soaring organ. Ken was first up for the backline, adding his driving drums. Josh then finally added his fretless bass to the stew. But before he was done, Josh also added the guitar solo you hear from 1:30-1:55. 
  After it was all said and done, we asked Tez to mix it for us, as he is a master producer and mixer. 
  This is the latest in a long line of surf rock songs of Artur's we've been fortunate enough to get to play with. He is the surfingest Polish fellow you will ever come across, and a wonderful, familiar collaborator with Eclectic Collective. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

The North Pole was melting
And fearing a catastrophe
Santa hitched up his reindeer and flew to Washington DC

The Air Force saw him approaching
They scrambled a fighter jet
They almost shot him down before they realized he wasn’t a threat

They escorted him to the white house
To meet the president.
They posed for a photo together and then Santa Started to vent.

He said please mister president
I know you want to drill baby drill
But all those CO2 emissions are making the North Pole ill

He said I’m sorry Father Christmas
But I’m not interested in energy that’s green
it’s more important to me that we have cheap gasoline
And free Toys made by Elves in the North Pole sounds very nice
But you’re taking away American jobs, so I won’t take your advice

Then Santa said that since the ice will soon melt away
He asked the President if they could move to the USA

He said you and Misses Clause are welcome
because you look just like me
But we can’t have those pointy eared elves
Living here in the land of the free

So Santa flew back to the north pole
And sitting on the last patch of ice
Was a giant spaceship that even Elon Musk thought looked very nice
The Elves had built it while he was gone
tears of sadness ran down Santa’s face
And they all got on the ship, and they flew off into outer space

Now every Christmas Eve people look up at the sky
And they think about those good old days when Santa used to fly
Toys made by elves in the North Pole sure would be nice
But at least we get to buy our gasoline for a very cheap price.

Funny how hard it is to recall details of what seemed at the time the most important permanent parts of your life..like a first love or relationship. Seems flashes of images remain but not the whole package
