“With “Surface To Air” b/w “Gangstalking”, Blood Trust follows up his debut releases on CNVX and 3024 with the Digital Red Label series, further staking out his own precise vision of Drum n Bass futurism. 

“Surface to Air” opens with a cold rush of tension, grounded by stepping percussion and a bassline threaded through open space. Relentless pressure mounts with flashes of breaks and flatlined Reeses, dissonance eased only by the acquisition of new targets. 

“Gangstalking” follows with highly-focused pressure, encompassing cut by jagged kicks and scattered rims. As an acidic figure snakes its way through the mix, Blood Trust reaffirms the forgotten possibilities of techstep’s dread and imagines an alternate timeline, one built off the wreckage of the past but with the possibilities of the future.

Not only putting Jungle, Bass and Electro in the spotlight with different blocks like breaks.org and itsyours.info but also with his label Defrostatica. Established in 2015 they’re busy delivering risky Jungle, Juke and Hybrid Bass music to the world.

CTL! Sound System a été chargé de la sonorisation de l’exposition Egregore, une résidence artistique imaginée par Edouard Jattiot & Antoine Grenez au centre culturel de La Tour à Plomb. Un mois durant lequel les deux artistes, en addition à une oeuvre plastique commune, mettent à disposition un ensemble d’outils pour dresser un état des lieux du collectif et des cultures alternatives d’aujourd’hui afin d’en dessiner les possibles contours de demain. Parmi ces outils, “La Régie” dans sa 4ème version, une installation architecturale unique créée par Edouard Jattiot, et l'équipement quadriphonique de CTL! que de multiples DJ ou producteurs investissent pour enregistrer de la musique de manière festive (opening, finissage), ludique (extatique dance, open-decks) ou éditoriale (podcast).
