Suffering: Why do Christians struggle to accept that suffering is part of the normal Christian life? 
Death:  Death is a breaking process in us as we die to our own desires and allow Christ to be formed in us. The Christian life is an exchange - you die to your old life in order for a newness of life (Christ’s life) to take hold of you. 
Resurrection: Resurrection life is the product of death, there can be no life without death. Our eyes must always be on the end product, we suffer and die in order to receive His Life.

We can’t live a holy life by ourselves, it’s Christ in us that gives us the ability. The cross was the chastisement of God on Jesus for us and our salvation.
