This set as recorded as part of Therapy Sessions Melbourne VII - Right before Robyn Chaos & The Panacea played.

Its 2.5 hours long and I'm way to busy to do a full tracklist but I can tell you thats its a fast poaced and up front set of heavy rolling techy dnb set with tracks from Audio, The Sect, Tech Itch, Loki, Ed Rush, Outside Agency, Current Value, Cooh, Black Sun Empire, Counterstrike, Paul Blackout, Raiden and many, many, many more (probably 40-50 tracks in total).

Probably my favourite dnb set I've ever mixed - Its heavy but not stupidly heavy - so hopefully you jump on it and give it a listen.

ctoafn Therapy Sessions Melbourne DnB Studio Mix 2008

My first ever international supporting set and it was mutherfuckin' Tech Itch & Dylan!!!

** WARNING - This is a rookie and live mix from 10 years ago, worth a listen but read below for the back story first **

Joined a new crew called Bassoids and our first big party was the release party for Tech Itch & Dylan's LP on the Hell Down Under tour. We packed out Club Retro with 300-400 people. Club Retro was the only club we could find available. Shady as fuck nightclub on Lonsdale St with a vending machine with vibrators and editable panties which is usualy a 'pick up' club playing purely retro. he bar staff & management shat themselves when they heard the music (and also stole all the door takings at the end of the night) 

 I was going under the name of DMZ (which was me and an ex-mate). DMZ was a much better name than 'ctoafn' and was well before the name DMZ became synonymous with club that helped launch Dubstep. All for the best though. 

The place was rammed jammed and was up for the heaviest shit we could throw at them but on top of shitting ourselves playing to so many people right before the Godfather's of Heavy DnB stood over us, the needles were skipping like crazy as the dancefloor bounced so its a bit messy in spots but the vibe was insane and the only reason I'm putting this up.

We were lucky enough to have MC's Wasp, Dr Sponk and JC rotating on the mic who did a mad job hyping and made it an epic night. 

Made the total rookie mistake of playing some big Tech Itch tunes right before he came on to play which I still cringe hearing but I was a newbie and learnt not to do that again pretty quickly.

Also my first big rewind when Paradrenasite dropped. Still get goosebumps.

So its a bit of a messy mix at times but it taught me some big lessons which helped shape me as a DJ and what would introduce me into the Melbourne DnB scene.

My first party. The story goes I launched Collateral Damage and organised Limewax to play Friday night @ Brown Alley back in December 2006. On the Wednesday afternoon via the NZ Bassdrop forum, I found out the bloody tour promoter had Limewax playing in NZ the same night. After some scrambling, I was able to be one of the first to use Miss Libertines - on a warm Sunday afternoon no less.

ctoafn Live @ PTA presents Cooh & Nanotek - January 2013

ctoafn (Couldn't Think Of A F%#king Name) has been a DJ and promoter for the last 18 years in Melbourne moving back home to Adelaide January 2016 and back to Melbourne late 2021). He was the man behind Collateral Damage and Therapy Sessions Melbourne representing the darkside of drum n bass and has toured/supported acts including Dylan, Limewax, Current Value, Audio, Robyn Chaos, The Sect, Raiden, The Panacea, Dom & Roland, SPL and more. He also promoted and supported the "original and infamous" Spor & Ewun show @ The Palace, Evol Intent, John B, Apex (Unknown Error) and Telemetrik to name a few.

After giving up promoting in 2009 (except for the odd warehouse party) ctoafn spent a lot of time successfully getting his brand of bass music to the masses - Fast and furious mixing, dancefloor filling, bass ridden, filthy yet funky bass ;-) Whether its DnB, Dubstep, Glitch Hop, Moombahton or Breaks you are bound to hear it all.

His "PowerDub" mix released in July 2010 has received props from across the globe with thousands of downloads, CDs etc and then stepped it up and went onto 3 decks for the 2nd PowerDub Mixtape.

This led to playing for all of the large Melbourne bass music crews like Tekstep, BBA, Heavy Innit, The Operatives, PTA as well as Bass Elements & Enchanted Forest in Adelaide, Earth Frequency Festival in Brisbane, Dark Hearts in Christchurch. He's been a resident for one of the top 3 bass crews in Melbourne 'Twisted Audio' for 10 years after stepping back into his DNB roots. He then moved back to his home town of Adelaide to perform with Bass Element & The Collective which in the process across Melbourne & Adelaide been given the responsibility to warm up or close for a 'who's who' of D&B & Dubstep acts including Noisia, Calyx & Teebee, S.P.Y, Dillinja, Dub Phizix & Strategy, Rene La Vice, LTJ Bukem, Spectrasoul, DRS, Datsik, 16 Bit, SPL, Funtcase, Gemini, Audio/Pixel Fist, Phaeleh, Current Value, Dieselboy, State Of Mind, Evol Intent, Mefjus, Stickybuds, Emperor, InsideInfo, Cooh/Balkansky, Xilent, Fred V & Grafix, The Upbeats, Black Sun Empire, DC Breaks, Ivy Lab, Ekko & Sidetrack, Trei, Brookes Brothers, Annix, Jade, Teddy Killerz & Tantrum Desire.
