After the success of our first various artists release, ‘The Voice of EKOU’, we’d like to present to you our next installment, ‘The Full Spectrum’. This project started as an idea to create a platform for up and coming producers, however over the previous months has developed into something that has allowed us to include both newcomers and established artists alike. 
	
In the 2 and a half years since our first release, we’ve been on a constant journey through sound, and have been a platform for a variety of artists, all of whom produce a variety of styles under the drum & bass umbrella. With ‘The Full Spectrum’, we hope to showcase our journey for you, our audience; some of you have been with us from the beginning, others are new to the label - either way we hope you know what to expect!

This is our representation of the full spectrum of drum & bass, and what the genre means to us. We hope you enjoy listening to this massive VA just as much as we did putting it together. 

‘The Full Spectrum’ has 22 tracks, split over 2 parts, and features both newcomers and seasoned artists alike. Part 1 drops exclusively on February 4th via Bandcamp and Beatport, followed two weeks later by Part 2 on February 18th.

‘Architextures IV’: Celebrating three years of Spanish underground drum & bass.

The Iberian project celebrates its third birthday with a strong release featuring some of the hottest newcomers around the globe. Sub-bass business and mid-range madness on this five track EP from the southern imprint.

Khramer and HVRLYN are the openers with Devices. Wobbly bass with murky whomps and the usual minimal drums. A tech masterpiece with sci-fi atmosphere. Second track is from MUR, pure local talent displaying a vulgar excess of energy and power in Gears. Samath comes back again at the label with Tea Leaf, showcasing pure dancefloor smasher vibes. Diverge is the comeback of Nomad to the label, since his acclaimed ‘Bad Habits’ EP we were dying to have him back on the firm, so this deep roller will satisfy the most staunch fans . Closing the release we have Violent Cuts with Hero, provoking frequencies with the signature dryness of the producer.

The minimal mastermind Dunk is back with his ‘City of God’ EP, featuring the talented vocalists Voice, Fats and Mjay. Dunk has been on the rise with frequent releases on labels such as LionDub International, Dubplate Dread, Dispatch Recordings, Playaz, Sub-liminal Recordings and of course, Formation Records. Dunk is a masterclass in minimal drum and bass executed with his own personal twist, and we can’t wait to see this one continue to rip through the rave scene with force. 

‘Spy’ is a roller that is deeply visceral, beginning with an atmospheric intro layered with a single hi-hat, we are quickly reaching the first drop to be hit in the face with a deep rolling bass. The minimal drum pattern enables the bass to stand out to its fullest.

The titled track ‘City of God’ featuring Fats is a gun-finger worthy rave weapon.  The vibrating bass synth is the focal point mutating its way through the duration alongside snappy drums, incomprehensible vocal samples, and sullen atmospheres.

Dunk showcases his matchless style with ‘Up’ featuring Voice. By focusing his production on meticulously crafted individual elements, he forms a dancefloor rumbler filled with spacious atmospheres, crafted grooves and rolling bass notes. 

The final track ‘King Maker’ with Mjay, is jungle infused roller. The ominous atmosphere layered with a dub-infused skank leads you to a groove-laden bass that carries you through the spicy drop. This concluding masterpiece is not one to be ignored.

HARLEY D - Escape In a day and age when there is so much noise in the world, it can be truly satisfying to come across a creative work that is not so over the top. In an era of everyone trying to grab everyones attention, it is refreshing to come across restraint and balance where the mood and vibe of the music is clear and with intention. Nothing is out of place and nothing is forced. It just flows and takes the listener along for the ride. Escape is a stripped back track that calls to the listener with an alluring female vocal, crisp and present drums, and percussive elements that weave in and out creating tension and movement. This is drum and bass on a cerebral level.

There is an overarching theme of darkness through out the entirety of this release. From song titles to mood, this release has been known to leave some a bit on edge. It is not an “in your face” type of darkness. It just seems to connect the listener to parts of this world most of us do not want to face too often. 
The kind of darkness that comes from with in. 

Dark Investigation - Almost haunting female vocals over the intro lull you into a cozy space until the main drop lets you know things are about to get nasty. What unfolds is a dark minimal roller layered with twisted synths, 
tension filled edits, and classic baselines of a darker time. 

Dark Sun - If you are a fan of classic dark rollers from 2002 - 2005, 
then you do not want to miss out on this one. This heavily retro influenced stepper will get any dance floor moving. A classic Resee bass line, creative synth stabs, and an infectious stepper break all tied together with more haunting vocals. 

Take This - Pure dancefloor business with this one. It throbs, it pulses, 
it works both you and the bass bins. Heavy, dirty, and dark. Take the advice of the title vocal sample and just take this, and play it loud. You can thank us later.
