Well, I had planned to have a voicebank ready to release for Kumi's 10th anniversary, but earlier this year, my computer suddenly died, and I lost all the oto.ini work I had done... 😞 This cover that was sitting around is all I had, as well as the new artwork I made for her Chinese voicebank.

VocalSharp is a new synth program that just released, with similar features to DeepVocal and OpenUTAU (including a devkit to make your own voicebank). I don't know much about it, but it seems like Kumi was ported to it as a launch vocal. So I decided to give it a try! 😊(You can open .vsqx files with it, so it was easy to plug-and-play!😆)

I finally finished configuring the VCCV English voicebank (almost a DECADE after recording it 😅)! The previously released pitches have also been re-configured. I'm a bit late this year, but the tutorials really took it out of me lol. 

Recently, I worked with mim to overhaul the VCCV English phonemizer in OpenUTAU, and this voicebank now supports dictionary input! English in UTAU has never been easier, I hope you give it a try!

Edit: I see this track is attracting a lot of non-UTAU/Vocaloid attention. For those that don't know, this is a download to a folder of recordings I made in this voice, for use in the singing synthesis software UTAU. Basically, you could download this voice and make it scream any song and lyrics you want. 

I have only recorded sounds for the Japanese language (it has far fewer sounds than English), but it probably has the potential to scream pretty decent English, too.

Many of you may know March 9th is "Miku Day" in Japan. This is because the numbers "3" and "9" in Japanese can be pronounced "mi" and "ku" respectively. Which means, September 3rd can be read inversely as "ku" "mi"... In short, Happy KUMI Day 9/3!

This is a completely re-recorded and high quality version of the "Sugar" voicebank, and has actually been "finished" and released for over a year now. However, a few extra sounds were never configured, and it was released bare. Missing a readme.txt, character.txt files and various aliases. I never even released it with a demo song! So, this is something I was always meaning to do.
