We're big fans of Colino, AKA Colin Volvert, here at RA. Few do it better when it comes to the type of pacy, lysergic thumpers that have become synonymous with both Kalahari and the distro One Eye Witness. A quick glance over the Belgian label's impressive alumni confirms how deeply his work flows through contemporary clubs.

1. What was your inspiration for the mix?
Besides wanting to show some tracks that I’m into at the moment and have been listening to in the end of 2024 and beginning of 2025, I’ve been inspired by the open mindedness of people and the nightlife here when it comes to different types of music. 

2. How do you think your local music scene has shaped your sound as an artist / approach to nightlife?
The music scene in general in Medellin is incredibly diverse, incorporating a wide variety of sounds both traditional and contemporary. This translates to the electronic music scene also, where you can find many different collectives of genres ranging from techno to house, dnb, minimal, breaks and everything in between. This creates an amazing atmosphere where artists are not judged so much by what genres they play but rather by their skill in mixing tracks and their ability to create something authentic. 

These are some of the reasons why this city has helped me to broaden my interests in music in general and understand the people and cultures behind different sounds both old and new.

UNITED TRANZIT 008 - Methylman

Well it was really heartwarming to see the chaos that is May Day morning in Oxford once again. I haven't seen it in quite a while, largely owing to our gang having a habit of celebrating it out in the woods away from the city, but yeah it was actually great to be reminded of how wonderfully wild the convergence of people on the bridge at 6am is :)

However, the found memories of the woods are very strong. So I'm over the moon that Charlie from the FLOW gang has chosen now to release a recording of his set from the woods on May Day 2024 - both online and on CD. It's a late night power hour of immaculate heads down, fist up proggy trance pumpers.

Physical copies of this will be available in the shop for those who want something to accompany a late night drive down the A34, while obviously here as well for the digital era gang...
