London-based Emile Facey (@plant43), inspired by Kraftwerk and 1980s Street Sounds hip-hop compilations, has been a key figure in electro since the late ’90s. Launching his Plant43 project in 2006 on Ai Records, he’s built an impressive discography spanning electro, techno, and ambient on labels like Frustrated Funk, CPU, and Trust. A graphic designer and co-founder of a platform celebrating electronic music since 2002, Emile has performed live with legends like DJ Stingray, Convextion, and Legowelt.
