His debut original project with the label, ‘Road Block’ will build on his already impressive profile: complete with his signature Jungle drumming and instantly recognisable horn riffs (taken from The Aggravators ‘Rockers Almighty’) it’s the perfect complement to the impeccable lyrical talent of Doncaster’s most demonstrative vocalist Parly B. Currently enjoying support and props from the UK’s leading reggae ambassador David Rodigan, Parly’s emphatic sermons ensure instant explosions in the dance. Warm, melodic and wholly compatible with J.Man’s heavyweight groove, Parly’s vocals and J.Man’s sunshine sonics are a match made in Jungle heaven. 

It’s a road block on the remix front too. Straight out of their Bristol HQ, Run Tingz have invited exciting new West Country duo TerraHawk to the fray. Fresh from remixing Blak Twang’s ‘Rebel MC’ the duo have unleashed a firing jam that spits and sizzles with contemporary Drum & Bass fire. All rifling breakbeats, immense bass pressure and a drop sharp enough to shave, TerraHawk confirm their place as one of the most exciting new D&B acts to emerge in the last year. 

In an exciting new development for the label, the release offers added soundsystem gravitas in the form of Sleepy Time Ghost’s Reggae and Bass Music infusions. THE ARTISTS: Hailing from Trelawny, Jamaica, Anthony B is one of the world's leading conscious roots and dancehall reggae singers, known for his high energy concerts and revolutionary lyrics. Spearheaded by producer, DJ, and instrumentalist Emch, New York City's Subatomic Sound System is at the forefront of a dub music renaissance, founders of the US & Europe Dub Champions Festival, 4 years acting as the live band for legend Lee Scratch Perry on tours including Coachella, Red Bull Music Academy; plus independently touring N America, Europe, and Asia, and for a decade producing flavors ranging from classic dub to dubstep. Dubiterian is a Brazilian based reggae producer and arguably South America's finest melodica player, specializing in rootical dubwise reggae.  He recently relocated to Munich, Germany.

Anthony B recorded his vocal in Kingston in April 2010, as the the city broke out in riots capped off by the Tivoli Gardens extradition raid. Tensions were further heightened by a drought that led to water supplies to many of Kingston's residents being cut off for days at a time. Anthony B linked with People's Records & Subatomic Sound in the studio and his eyes lit up when the Senegalese drums of NYC-2-Africa riddim started to play. He began a classic African call and response chant with his crew as the beat played and after listening to the riddim on steady repeat, headed straight into the studio, delivering a blistering performance, waiving his lighter and literally jumping off the walls of the vocal booth while tracking the vocal.

After a while of not releasing any stepper tunes we are proud announce our next vinyl release with Bony Fly and Sr. WIlson. 

This 12“ limited edition features the notorious Spanish singer Sr Wilson on a heavy riddim built by the upcoming producer Bony Fly out of Geneva Switzerland. Guaranteed to get a forward bass pressure in any session.
Front side, Sr Wilson delivers word-sound conscious lyrics, making allusions to the last US elections. Between his sweet singing and hard-hitting flow he rides a pure hardware dub stepper riddim built and mixed at the Wiki Studio. Next cut is the riddim track welcoming any MC to uplift the session and tear down Babylon. Flip side, a deep percussive extended dub mix. The talented producer shines on his full of pressure cut in which all mixing boundaries are tore down, between reverbs and echoes.
