For this mix I wanted to narrate the rough and sometimes messy ways we transform and shed our skin. It begins in a place of attachment to old ways that are shaken off through vigorous movement, heading towards a precipice of new opportunity. Here is to spring, and here is to metamorphosis.

Here is to the girl writhing in the earth, not knowing yet who she will be.

In a clearing in the orchard, wraithlike harpists cry sporadically to scatter the roosting jackdaws. Beneath the clearing, accessible through a slamming trapdoor, is a round, damp chamber, into which glide the monks from this morning. While one operates a steam organ, others peer through portholes, puncturing fatty membranes to release a tide of hot water. The monks pour upwards through the portholes into the vast space beyond; an orchestral hellpit.
