Biggest inspiration at the time was Lena Raine's incredible ost for Celeste, namely her tracks Golden and Farewell. Not to mention ALL of Farewell as a whole. The audio (making lil percussive bits gives me great joy), the visuals, and a LITTLE bit of the emotion of the actual level. Just a touch. This game, in all its facets, was very much on my mind lol. Can't believe I waited so long to experience it

Hmm but I'm still pretty mired by all things music theory, and while I reach a kind of fun state (adjacent to flow state?) for the perc and reverby synthy goodness -- Vital is so fun to program with omg -- the chords do not come naturally still...so working on that. Just need to do more. Definitely should've polished it w/ more FX so its not just ABAB but ehhhh

Beautiful artwork by IDRay (which I chose not only bc of Farewell, but bc they made it very shortly after beating it, which was pretty much the same experience for me making this tune! some nice serendipity there)

i made thisss like a week or two ago but am finally posting it here to curate it

I think it sounds good! Really was just a warmup to get back into music-ing anything. It was made pretty quickly, and i think the chords could have more substance buuut its finee its a doodle

getting back in the swing o things, yep yep. i have to push my fl studio knowhow as well though...i was hitting a lot of technical hiccups w/ some of the FX here and it just showed me how infrequently I touch 90% of that program lol. future me i hope u took notes..
