Set the Mood welcomes Alfonso Hernando (a.k.a. Tare), a devoted selector whose perspective on the perfect opening set is as thoughtful as his music. A passionate lover of techno and house, Alfonso is a Spanish DJ based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. His deep connection to vinyl and constant search for new sonic textures have shaped sets that blend emotional depth, rhythmic energy, and a strong musical narrative. After years of collecting records and refining his craft, Alfonso has played on local radio stations and club nights, and now leads MORPH — a platform dedicated to celebrating vinyl culture and the underground scene in the Netherlands.

His vinyl-only sessions invite listeners into immersive journeys through atmospheric techno, raw house, and hypnotic rhythms, with a clear influence from the cutting edge of the European scene. With every set, Alfonso creates space for connection, movement, and exploration.
