Finally, the time has come.

After a small discovery phase this year, we can finally announce that the first sounds of PAULUM. will be audible very soon. 

Besides activities as an event organizer, we can finally announce the first record release.

The starting date is the 16th of December, 2022. 

You can expect an EP from CVO, founder and puppet master of PAULUM. 
The 4 track single, called "Secret Garden", is a nice mix between bouncy minimal house and groovy breakbeats. 
2 originals are on the menu with 2 superb remixes.

Friz07, a long time friend and labelmate of CVO (love goes out to Bladehouse), has turned the breaky track into a wonderfully twisted world of minimal house. The trippy sounds of his take on „Dont Stop“ invite you to dream but are driven by a distinct, perfectly positioned bassline. A wonderful tool to send the crowd on another journey in the morning hours.

The EP is rounded off by a super crisp and pushy remix by none other than Nick Beringer. He has processed the elements of the title track "Secret Garden" very subtly and created a powerful peaktime version. We are joyful to have this gifted music producer and founder of "Rubisco" on board and thus laying the foundation for PAULUM.

And last but not least, big thanks to Tripmastaz for the beautiful mastering!

Following recent outings on Aus Music, Rejected and Knee Deep In Sound, Steve Bug returns to his own Poker Flat Recordings for his first solo release on the label since 2021's Montafon. 

Despite maintaining a prolific release and remix schedule, it's been quite some time since we've been treated to a pure, unadulterated Steve Bug original on Poker Flat. 

So we're very pleased to present Alto Adige: a fantastically deep and typically meticulous two-tracker set to scratch that particular itch. 

Alto Adige is a patient slow-burner, kicking off with a muted synth line that gradually opens up as the track progresses, building to a deeply satisfying crescendo in the break. 

Trentino is similarly minded, with the addition of rising strings and a beautifully epic synth lead adding even more drama to proceedings.

Öona Dahl delivers her debut EP on Watergate, continuing her fruitful partnership with Dance Spirit along the way.

Last year’s memorable WhoMadeWho compilation saw Öona Dahl drop her first musical contribution on Watergate, collaborating with Dance Spirit for ‘Break The Stillness’, one of the highlights of the mix. The New York producer, DJ and sound designer, has cultivated a curious and evocative sound going back almost a decade, releasing quality cuts on Anjunadeep, Hallucienda (home to her 2017 album ‘Hollograma’) and All Day I Dream, where she has become a regular at Lee Burridge’s iconic party series.

‘Godtripper’ is a transcendental trip through psychedelic house tones, elevated by Dahl’s own breathy vocal and subtle swells of acid and a smooth melody line. Patrice Bäumel adds a delicious re-work built around a superb bass melody that builds to a crescendo, as layer-upon-layer reveals itself throughout. Dahl links with Dance Spirit for ‘Manic Space’, led by a delicate layer of tribal drums and a meandering melody line, crafted for sundown moments. ‘Universe Within You’ is one for the after hours, wrapped in a minimal shell it unfurls gradually into a glowing late morning house gem, resplendent in golden synths and groovy drums.
