After releasing on labels including Correspondant, Have a Killer Time and Clouded Vision Records, Jo Howard aka Bird of Paradise has decided to launch his own imprint, Sulk Magic, to showcase music from himself and similarly musically aligned artists.

The debut Sulk Magic One see's five cuts of left field dance music, joined together by nothing other than their disregard for tropes or forms.

Al Gobi - Ian Blevins and Phil Moody who was previously released their music on labels like Culprit, XXX, Rothmans, Disco Bloodbath, Constant State in the name of few, now taking a part of this compilation and take us on a glam rock influenced detour into melodic techno with this amazing track.

For the sophomore installment of our various artists series ‘Watergate Affairs’, we bring you four searing cuts of dance floor mania from Ruede Hagelstein, Adana Twins, Marco Resmann and Tiefschwarz.

Kicking it off is Ruede’s timeless, future classic; ‘Flash Balls’. At nearly eleven minutes, it’s a masterfully crafted tune reminiscent of classic Carl Craig and the best things that happen when Berlin meets Detroit. Adana Twins ‘Etah’ follows with a lush palette of sonics dispersed over an incredibly infectious groove emanating in a gorgeous ballad that will surely induce those magic moments. Next up is Resmann’s ‘Mobius’, a contagious groover that delicately balances the ability to fit any time or setting, day or night from open airs to club lights. Andrew Scott, aka NY*AK, brings some heavy jams for the first release of 2018 on Local Talk with his "Bound EP". We’re treated to four tracks. The last track 'Sandwiches' features long time collaborator Ian Blevins and contains fuzzed and thumping kicks, a muscular bass line to keep things moving, and a couple drops of acid flavours with rhodes chords to smooth things out. Topped off with some soulful vocal chops, this one's a bonafied workout! A stunning low deep groove for any Theo Parrish or Marcellus Pittman fans out there.

City Fly return for their 15th release, backed by serious muscle in the form of NY*AK, and fellow contributors Ian Blevins and Mark Hand, who make up the stomping and spectacular Afghan Jams EP. Starting strong is ‘Return’, with a relentless dub techno energy, graced later by soft vocals and euphoric violin strings making for an epic dancefloor anthem. ‘Slick’, with Mark Hand, veers off into a loose, crackly acid trip. It’s followed by ‘Troia’, rounding off side A with an all-out party of flutes and keys over one infectious ecosystem of drums. Then, on side B, ‘We Both Know’ comes through; NY*AK’s eye-catching, sample-heavy jam with Ian Blevins with an eerie bassline. And the EP concludes with title track ‘Afghan Jam’, featuring Mark Hand - a special groove captured mid-session. Something a house head can easily get lost in.
