I was once in a really depressive state, confiding in mostly music and gaming, ignoring the outside world. I had come to the realization no one would want me how I was, yet I did nothing to change after being comfortable for so long. I could never catch up to the producers I looked up to and could never be confident in my music, no matter how several many years I put in.

When I came across "closer" by Grim, it changed everything. The track itself is filled with so much emotion, so much I hadn't felt in ages. It sent chills down every part of my body, and it made me come to the realization I needed. It changed me.

I spent the next few months working towards everything I needed; going to the gym, reconnecting with friends and family I had ghosted for so long, and truly focused on my music. I had never felt that good before, like there was more to life than I ever knew.

I am truly grateful for everyone who stuck w me and helped me push and grind to where I am now. I am thankful to be in this position surrounded by such talent and creators I can call my friends. I never thought I would get this far, yet I could never give up music seeing so many people around me make it big. I am truly happy with my music, what I can create, and what I feel confident in. It affects me in more ways than one.

I once spoke about, despite being in my current position and genuinely enjoying and being confident in what I can create, I needed to prove myself to someone. I never knew who that could even be, as everyone I had thought were lightyears ahead of me are now the closest to me. Upon finishing this piece, I realized. It was myself. When I heard closer, I had wished upon the day I could even come close to recreating the pure emotion and technicality it had been endowed in. Here I am now, almost a year later, finally, truly satisfied. This is my magnum opus. This is my closer.
