Culture Kid are two brothers who make music - currently residing in the Mile High City - with hearts and roots in Detroit. Over the last several years James and Jos had been key members of groups which shared the stage with acts from Minus the Bear to OneRepublic and everything in between. Inspired by a background in classical music and a love of the most current sounds in electronic, indie, and many other genres, they aspire to carve their own little niche in music. "We basically woke up one day and realized we wanted to have something that we could really look ourselves in the mirror over, a project that deep down we would go to bat for in front of even our most respected influences. Last fall we walked away from everything else we were involved in and began writing along those lines," James says. With dynamic, "honey and heroin vocals" (as described by Denver's Westword magazine) and an ever growing range of instruments, beats and samples, they are looking to stretch the boundaries of what popular music could be. Carrying the experience of nearly one hundred shows with previous acts, Culture Kid are poised to take a step out into the bright lights
