Hioll has become one of the main influences within the rising Cuban Electronic Music Scene. Born and raised in La Habana (Havana) and carrying from the beginning, with humility, the flag of Cuban Techno.

Established Abstraction (@abstractionrecordlabel) in 2017, the first electronic music label ever in Cuba’s history and which is dedicated to showing the most outstanding talents from the island. But that has subsequently evolved to welcome new international artists and, as such, become a widely supported source of dance-floor cuts.

As a producer, Hioll's tracks exist in a powerful climax, which looks simultaneously from the most daring and strange hypnotic Techno to the most bizarre and industrial. He has many successful releases in respected and well known labels, being played and supported by big industry names.

This suggests a versatile artist with a strong personality, capable of generating rich and truly unique ideas and, eventually, translating them into a varied context of unprecedented sound experiences.

For this edition of our podcast series, we are presenting Leipzig-based Dj and producer HKKPTR, with a dark, fast-forward mix to keep us moving while waiting for the clubs to reopen. He has his musical roots in black metal and later got in touch with electronic music through gabber and Schranz always searching for dark and energetic ambiances. With his releases as well as his mixes he is trying to catch a dark industrial- and EBM-influenced but mainly powerful sound.

Resident of the wild Berlin parties Stimulation, the Human Experiments project was born from the will to share a radical vision of techno and the meeting of two inspirations, industrial cinematic and hypnotic groove. He creates a dark, violent yet catchy universe in which dissonant sounds meet pounding rhythms. His music is both danceable and deeply gloomy, blurring the boundaries between genres. By building an atmosphere in which rhythmic hammering and hypnotic envelopes form one, he strives to generate a strange synergy that is uniquely his.

Currently based in Berlin, he tends to refine his style by taking inspiration from the more minimalist aspects of techno. It is under his other alias 'Arc:type' that he intends to fully express this other musical vision, even if the borders between the two projects are thin.

This week with the Italian based duo DCMBR!

Currently resident DJs at Closer in Milan, Daniele and Federico originally started to play together way back in 2006 but it wasn't until 2018 they decided to choose a name that represent themselves as a duo, settling on DCMBR which is their shared month of birth.

Since early 2019, together with their friend HERMETE, they created their own label called Kriptika Records which has been an outsource for some of their own productions alongside tracks from some well known artists, such as Julian Muller and DJ IBON.
