We always say "this one was for the books" after every Snoopy Island gathering, but honestly this one really was special.

Seeing everyone arrive on Friday morning early before the event, checking in and heading straight to the beach for music & life after being cooped up for almost two years, just demonstrates the human spirit is resilient and thrives on sacred frequencies. 

We are innately built to heal and grow in the presence of natural frequencies.

Hope you enjoy this set as much as i enjoyed playing it for you all.

Unsere Nummer 96 kommt diese Woche von einem aufstrebenden Schweizer Künstler, der es innerhalb kürzester Zeit geschafft hat, sich auch über die deutschsprachigen Grenzen hinweg einen Namen zu machen.

Die Rede ist von Milo Häfliger. Einem Soundnomaden,  der mit seinen Sets stets die Orte des erlebbaren und nicht erlebbaren auslotet. Angereichert mit einer Fülle von Emotionen, lädt er jeden Einzelnen dazu ein, sich seine eigene Welt des Tanz- und Denkbaren zu erschaffen. 
Neben seinen zahlreichen und sinnerweiternden Sets, die ausnahmslos alle Spitze sind, orientiert er sich stilistisch an der traditionellen Musik der südlichen Hemisphäre, die mit Ihrem Arrangement perfekt dafür geeignet ist Gefühle entstehen und für jeden Einzelnen erfahrbar zu machen. Dabei bewegt er sich stets irgendwo zwischen Melancholie und Heiterkeit. Ein Bereichsspektrum in dem jeder seinen Platz finden wird. 

Seine Musik ist aber nicht nur für eine gemütliche Couchsession an einem verregneten Sonntag geeignet. Ganz im Gegenteil. Durch tiefe Bässe und teils treibender Rhythmik, sowie einem etwas höheren Tempo, ist seine Musik auch durchaus tanzbar, was seine zahlreichen Auftritte rund um den Globus belegen. 

Obwohl er erst seit kurzer Zeit dabei ist, konnte er im letzten Jahr bereits schon einige prestigereiche Gigs verzeichnen. Unter anderem bespielte er das Glücklich Festival in Zürich, das Nuba in Paris, das House of Yes in New York, sowie in Dubai, Griechenland, Belgien, Russland und und und. Bald steht sogar eine Indien-Tour an. Es läuft würde so mancher wohl sagen. 

Uns freut es sehr diesen aufstrebenden Künstler für unsere Reihe gewonnen zu haben, der es trotz seines immer voller werdenden Kalenders geschafft hat, ein wieder einmal ganz vorzügliches Set aufzunehmen. Die Aufnahme besticht vor allem durch seinen spannenden Aufbau und der permanent präsenten melancholischen Stimmung. Ein Gefühl, welches den europäischen Herbst perfekt einfängt und folglich jedem von uns Raum zum erforschen seiner Selbst gibt. 

Wir danken dir Milo für dieses herzerwärmende und hypnotisierende Set aus dem Bereich des Jenseits.

Celestial Mechanica is a glimpse of our solar system that is only allowed by means of an artistic lens that we are providing for you. Because of the massive scale of our solar system it is very difficult to imagine what all of it looks like working together as one. Celestial Mechanica will allow us this privilege. From a distance it may not be clear what we are looking at but as we approach it becomes instantly clear what this is. First we step into a loosely fenced area that is for pedestrians only where all of the Gas Giants are whirling above us. As we get closer to the Sun we can see the Rocky Planets at eye level spinning around their orbits around the Sun. It is now time to step up onto the catwalk via 4 staircases that lead up to an elevated walking area where we can really view the complex mechanics, feel the heat from the Sun’s fire effect and see the orbiting Rocky Planets, now slightly below us and separated by a handrail so that we do not disturb their delicate orbits.

Here's the recording for my DJ set from July 2nd, 2017 at the Katerblau Kiosk, hands down my favorite place to play music in Berlin.  The whole venue is a wonderland of discovery, the staff is extremely kind and hospitable, and I don't think I've played for a more open minded crowd in all of Europe. Longer sets allows you to take your time and be patient with the music, and the mixing.  The slow building journey I had imagined in my mind, was possible to make a reality, and extra time allowed me to experiment as well. This was probably my favorite gig of my entire 2 month Summer Sol Europe Tour. I hope you enjoy this mix as much as I had creating it in the Kiosk.  Thanks to Mira, Britta, Martin, Claudia, Joyce, David, Brett, Toto, Sylvie, Dorin, any other friends I may have forgotten who were there, and especially to all you lovely dancers who joined me on this ride. Having the opportunity to play after the Shabbat dinner at Merkabah, and as if that’s not enough to make me nervous I've found out I will b2b with legendary lum(@iamlum) ... Not gonna lie, I was never this nervous and excited at the same time, yet the amazing vibe and the crowd quickly turned my excitement to joy that I can’t put it into words. I hope everyone can enjoy this set and recieve this as a gift from me to everyone -if they choose to accept of course- :) As I felt this opportunity was a wonderful gift to me from the wonderful people at Merkabah.

Welcome back to the Magician On Duty Journey Series!

On this week's editions we welcome @Valeron

Generally recognized as the top DJ on the island of Mykonos, Valeron is definitely one of the longest standing and most omnipresent figures of the ever-shifting local music scene.

Soon after relocating to Mykonos, he became a producer releasing tracks that helped register his name in the Deep House and Electronic genre. This carried him through to becoming a founder of the Bercana Music label and releasing 2 personal albums already “Amare” & ‘’Aigaio’’. Valeron’s albums introduces a unique combination of traditional Greek instruments and Electronic beats.

Every Saturday at Scorpios Mykonos Valeron leads ‘’Scorpios World’’ where he performs live alongside Greek musicians of instruments such as the clarinet, violin, Ney,Bouzouki, Saz, Oud,Santur and many more. With lots of originals and remixes that had climb on top of Beatport charts, on May 2019 he will release his third personal album.

We are happy to welcome him to our family, and we hope you enjoy this mix as much as we do!
