Ghost In The Attic

Curators are a band from Edinburgh who, if pushed, might describe themselves as melodic indie-punk-rock plus a preoccupation with minor chords. Their debut album “Is This A Private Fight?” was released in 2010 and saw the band rank highly in many writers’ albums-of-the-year lists, as well as winning them airplay on Radio 1, Kerrang Radio and Radio Scotland to name but a few. 

After gigging around Scotland in support of that album, the band lost their then-bassist to the navy, prompting a hiatus while they regrouped. During this time, they began work on what was to become “The Cold In The Walls”, a record that is much less produced and more expansive than their previous work, allowing the band to bring their vocal harmonies to the fore whilst continuing to show their love of untamed, raucous guitars.

Due out on Anti-Manifesto in March 2013, “The Cold In The Walls” is a record about change, persistence, hope and loss. It is the sound of a band maturing without ever forgetting the power of loud guitars and raised voices.
