Moi Je, en realité, is the Lyon-based L. De Lassablière. He is finally back with a new EP – ’Reviens’ – that’s more disco and funk than ever. He and a select bunch of close collaborators have crafted this new release with the act of dancing firmly in their sights. The essence of the Moi Je project is still there, with its French electronic influences blended with the warmth of Italian summer sunburns. It’s a signature, poetic sound that has evolved over years of experimentation and practice, now here in glorious high-fidelity. There’s a playfulness too, with lyrics and music combining in fresh new ways. His biggest success so far is his beautiful, warm, disco-ified remix of “On You” from 2016 for fellow Frenchman Kazy Lambist, which earned him a gold disc!
