A fully loaded remix of one of 2023's heaviest drum and bass cuts, Particle steps up and delivers some of his finest work to date on remix duties for Sustance & Flowdan's 'Ten Ton'. 

A certified sound-system destroyer, the original release of 'Ten Ton' saw Shogun's very own production wizard Sustance and the legendary, grammy-award winning lyricist Flowdan cause carnage on dancefloors and rack up over 2.5M streams across DSPs and the official music video. Particle's remix sees the producer build on the momentum of the release of his debut album 'Pyro' earlier this year, adding an even darker twist to 'Ten Ton' with eerie pads and sinister synths. 

Particle's remix of 'Ten Ton' is also part of the 20 Years Of Shogun Audio LP. This 20-track deep album features 10 exclusive remixes of our catalogue’s most legendary releases alongside 10 pieces of groundbreaking new music from a selection of drum and bass’ most exciting talents.

Ten years on from the release of his highly acclaimed, award-winning debut LP ‘Emulation’, Mefjus shares five of the album’s biggest tracks with his label-mates at Critical for the 2024 remix treatment.

A landmark album in the genealogy of drum & bass music, the hard, heavy and supremely technical tracks gathered together for the original ’Emulation’ set a new standard in sound design and pushed the conventions of the genre to the very limit.

Mefjus himself reworks original title track ‘Emulation’, flaunting his untouchable studio skills by balancing frantic rolling drums and expertly engineered sub bass with a his trademark otherworldly sound design to unleash an almost impossibly energetic track.

Enei and Calyx take a tune each; with Enei reworking ‘Suicide Bassline’ into ultra-hard, minimal jump-up monster, while Calyx injects his signature molten, twisted bass into ‘Surrounded’ to make it all his own.

Two of Critical’s most recent recruits complete the package, with VISLA transforming ‘Saturate’ from a moody roller into a gritty stomper and Bristol-based SMG bringing ‘Change Of Mind’ featuring MC Maksim bang up to date in style.
