For all-girl band Acid Wave, new album heart2heart, set for release on May 5, 2023, centers around the joy that bursts through when we find our home in others, be it romantic or platonic. The Texas-based five-piece describe themselves as “besties,” and are constantly inspired by each other, and it’s on heart2heart that Acid Wave shows us what can happen when you surround yourself with those you really trust.

Drummer/vocalist and songwriter Audrey Villalobos began writing what would become heart2heart after she moved to Oklahoma due to her time in the Air Force. Keyboardist/vocalist Jet Gil-Robert, guitarist/vocalist Eva Vasquez, bassist/vocalist Isanette Olivarez, and drummer/vocalist Mary Moreck stayed in El Paso, Texas and the band worked remotely for several years to bring together the collection of songs.

“I just felt so much love and I wanted to put that into songs for my partner,” Villalobos says. But heart2heart isn’t just a love story; instead, it interweaves all the growing pains of learning to love yourself too.

It’s a portal. A sonic passage where electronic pop textures, electronic pulses, and cosmic atmospheres converge into a dreamlike ritual. Created within the resonant vision of **Enano Bendito Records**, this work invites listeners to expand beyond genre, entering a dimension where sound itself becomes constellation and memory.

* **“Ethereal Constellations”** unfolds like a sky of shimmering frequencies, delicate yet expansive, inviting you to lose yourself in infinite soundscapes.
* **“Ethereal Journey”** pulses with hypnotic rhythms, guiding you step by step through a trance of light, movement, and inner discovery.
* **“Galactic Waves”** is a tide of cosmic resonance, deep basslines flowing like oceans of starlight, carrying the listener into weightless immersion.
* **“Gravity of Dreams”** grounds the voyage, weaving warmth and melancholy with analog textures, a reminder that dreams also have their own gravitational pull.

The production embraces both **artificial intelligence and human sensitivity**, combining digital creation with analog mastering. Each track is a living experiment, refined by the Resonants, to feel alive, breathing, and soulful.

**Ethereal Journeys** is best experienced with headphones, under the night sky, or in collective ritual. It is music not for passing consumption, but for dwelling, feeling, and remembering.

Produced by Catherine Marks (Foals, Interpol, Death Cab for Cutie) with additional magic by Tim Cross (Mike Oldfield) the album was completed in various studios on the road, at home and abroad over the past 18 months. Mixed by Andy Baldwin (Midnight Juggernauts, Bjork) and mastered at Abbey Road by Geoff Pesche (LCD Soundsystem, Coldplay, Radiohead) the album marks Buchanan's first foray into full length territory.
