Two hot remixes of O.N.O. electro-pop smash ‘Gran Music’? Yes please.

Running Back artist Enzo Elia does away with the light touches of the original in favour of something moodier and more atmospheric. Rugged electro dissonance abounds in the bass synth, which chugs away menacingly beneath light snares and driving hi-hat and ride patterns. The breathy vocals take on a different character in this darker context, creating a trippy feel with their hazy tones. Sustained pads build the mood towards the break as the bass synth unfurls its gnarly teeth. Rasping textures and incessant percussive hits fire up the breakdown, leading to crescendo of bleeping arpeggios that hark back to progressive house in its heyday. Throw in some tense stabs and intense, distorted pulses and you’ve got yourself an all-encompassing riot of sound.

Man-of-the-moment Captain Mustache lays his Parisian touch down on the second mix, opting for throbbing analog bass thrusts and ticking old skool percussion, before unleashing a fizzing lead arpeggio and breakbeat pattern that gives the track an entirely new dimension. Old skool electro with modern pop sensibility, it’s a killer rework that’s sensitive to the charms of the original while adding an element of beefiness to the proceedings.

Support for French duo O.N.O. has come from the likes of Chloe, Jennifer Cardini, Terr and Lauren Laverne from BBC 6 Music as well as fashion publication Numero Mag. They’ve been enjoying their own residency in Paris, and have plenty more tasty music waiting in the wings.

This place was like a dream, a paradise beneath the clouds. Travelling downstream, rowing in Eden they watched as the tall reeds and the exotic birds passed by on the riverbank. Sat upon their little wooden boat they were at peace with the world as the rain began to fall softly all around them, it was not cold but warm and they smiled as they looked up at the heavens above. The clouds did not bother them any more for they had learnt to exist beneath the haze. 

Optimo Music are back with another release in their digital danceforce series. The series of releases is becoming quite the force having acted as an outlet for the likes of Tornado Wallace, Marcus Worgull, Vanessa Worm, Feon, Theus Mago and more. 

Now it's Bleaching Agent's turn to release a two track stormer of an EP described by himself below:

Who knew where she'd come from and what magnificent spirit had brought her to life beneath the cloak of darkness and the dancing stars. The way in which she moved was fascinating and perplexing, dancing atop the sand as the wind howled and the rain poured. It were as if she was commanding some great orchestra, up there in the sky, as the thunder crashed and the bangs of drums echoed between the clouds. She was god, her name was Hestia. 

Inflect Records are set to release a compilation of new material from an assortment of artists, proto disco, italo, acid and beyond on a fun filled record set to move dancefloors and festivals. This track, "Hestia", features on the release, an arpeggio driven affair by JackWasFaster.

Berlin-based Curses brings a romantic edge to the dance floor, blending 80's New Wave, the darker side of Disco and flashes of Body Music with his own ghostly vocals and guitar.
The debut album from Curses, 'Romantic Fiction' dropped on Jennifer Cardini's Dischi Autunno imprint in October 2018, launching his live act which brings the guitars, vocals and energy of the album to stage as a duo. Whether it's DJng in the main room at Circoloco DC-10, or performing live at festivals like, Nuits Sonores, Curses brings punk and new wave energy to all dance floors of any size.
Curses has also released on labels such as Permanent Vacation, Bordello A Parigi, Oráculo Records, and Wrong Era, and curated a double- LP vinyl compilation (NEXT WAVE ACID PUNX) Via Belgian powerhouse, N.E.W.S, showcasing a passion for New Beat, Early EBM, Post-punk and obscure Italo which gained critical acclaim worldwide. The 2nd album, 'Incarnadine' returned to Dischi Autunno in April, with a special edition vinyl in collaboration with Parisian Fashion brand, Saint Laurent.
Curses continues to bring a romantic and punk energy to the club, threading the ethereal nostalgia of the 80s and 90s into the future of now.
