Story Of Us

The Startenders serve as both musical director and house band for the Solstice Circus. The band is made up of a deep roster of professional musicians whom are longstanding fixtures within the Boston / Cambridge / Somerville and Lowell music scenes.  While you'll always catch them playing on a solstice, the band turns up in various other locales throughout the northeast playing their unique brand of songs - both original compositions and re imagined classics.

The Startenders are available for weddings and private functions but be warned, they are anything but your typical wedding band.  Lots of bands say that...  few really mean it.  If you dislike severely fun and wild engagements wherein your guests leave disheveled and with scratchy voices and you DO like parties that lean towards the more timid and reserved affair, well then The Startenders are probably not for you.
