Due to our good friends from Firespace, we had the great opportunity to contribute a little bit of our music to the infamous Fusion Festival - in our opinion, one of the most beautiful festivals in the world regarding electronic music.
Despite we had - like the year before - a little bit of rain during our floor times, it was one of the most intense experiences we made, since our start as a team in 2007.

The journey was opened from 5am to 7am by our most famous member Martin Anacker, who played a really groovy "vinyl only" set connecting the good old times with brand-new vibes. Baba Sikander, the newest member of our little music brotherhood, took the next step in our journey and guided us through mysterious woods. After a rain induced pause, Niemand & Keiner slowed down the pace a lot. Between 110 and 113 BPM their travel from dark to light was devoted to the dancers and chillers, who needed a little bit of rest from the hammering Tanzwüste and the other, harder floors. Accompanied by the beautiful sun, they emptied their treasure box 5 hours in a row (17°° to 22°°). Here are the first two hours of their journey. Their new studio mix was uploaded just a month ago, so have a look at their soundcloud, if you like, what you heard - but careful: It´s faster - 118 BPM and running!

3 QUESTIONS to DANIEL NITSCH:

Q: Your mix is full of great storys. Tell us about how these tracks had an influence on your career?

A: I must confess that I was a HipHop kid in the early 1990s. WuTang, PublicEnemy, BeastieBoys (alltime heroes!), basketball, graffiti and gentle attempts to breakdance - that was my life. I can remember very well how I listened the anthem of "Planet Rock“ for the first time on a tape. Oh my - that has blown me away and it was on repeat for the following weeks. In these days I didn’t play records but I listened to different styles of music. I believe that the sound of this time influenced me a lot. In the middle of the 1990s I started DJing and producing. Just in the beginning there was Classic House and Electro where I still can find a soft spot today. It’s great that artists like Steve Rachmad, DJ Hell, The Hacker but also Daft Punk, Steve Bug and many many other are still inside our scene nowadays. There are so many classic songs which you can find from time to time inside my case.

Q: You are 50% of the famous duo THE GLITZ. But what´s musicially the difference between that and your solo project?

A: I´m quite sure that people who know "The Glitz" and who know my solo project "Daniel Nitsch" will hear that very fast. For me "The Glitz" is an exciting and fantastic common project by Andreas Henneberg and me. We both came from different musical fields and have completely different influences in music. Somehow we found a way and we got the luck that we develop an own sound where we can suprise us every time in the studio or on stage. For many people "The Glitz" stands for a kind of peak-time sound which gives you a positive vibe. It’s not important which sound we make together but it’s important that we can smile and have fun. And about my solo project: I would say that mostly I´m a collector and selector and as music junkey always in search of new music which delights me without building musicial borders. You can find sudden changes in my sets - Acid House coming after HipHop or a Delsin-Record follows an old Funk-Song, having finally an 1980s Ambient-Song in the end - all is possible. But for sure I pay attention on the crowd and try to have a good harmonic night with them. Also for my productions I worked a little bit different and float sometimes for days in any soundscapes or I make musical journeys for myself.

Q: Which Daniel Nitsch activities/projects can we expect soon?

A: At the moment I work a lot of for my new own label FeelRawAudio. As artists I´ve joined the crew „Feines Tier“ from Cologne two months ago - really exciting artists and DJs. Also there will happen some more in the next time. I think until the end of the year you can expect a new solo vinyl and remixes from me. But let´s take it easy as I´m quite relaxed about it.

Zuerst wollte der Hirsch wollte sich durch sämtliche Vorgärten graben um einen bunt getupften Blumenstrauss zu pflücken. Irgendwie war ihm das dann doch zu anstrengend. Da hat er sich einfach unter den Baum gelegt und ganz gemütlich vor sich hingefunkt.

Born in the seventhies and as a child addicted to the early days of Electronic Body Music, Neue Deutsche Welle, later Italo Disco, Acid House, Industrial and Techno the way to the dancefloor was in most cases the shortest. 

After years of dancing a pair of Technics 1210 were the new deal for the year 2000. Never spending energie to become a famous DJ it was more like a `having fun with some friends´ and `love for the music´ thing.

Time after time some mixes were born and like the progression of electronic music none of them appears like the other .. always different in music and lifestyle seems to be the most interesting way to be and perform.

At very rare intervals playing in front of a crowd was unavoidable.
Places like the Fuck Parade, Bar25, Bachstelzen and Fusion just to name the hottest.

Enjoy the music, keep moving, help each other grow and beware of the bigger movements around us .. music is just a step!!
