On the B-side, 6 remixes deepen the sonic palette of the dreamy landscapes showcased on the other side. Alon.e dwelves into trancy synths and an IDM/trip-hopish groove for his version of Super Yellow Juice. Le Frit reconstructs Nunca Esperei por Ti. into a low-key, delicate and psychedelic dembow track. H2O gives a new life to Bamboo Flute with a playful version halfways between dub and synthwave. Guillerrrmo, straight from Manaus, member of São Paulo’s Mamba Negra, distorts the same track into a slow and powerful breakbeat heater. Manchester’s Obeka delivers a mesmerizing dancehall remix of Bury me, with Love, inspired by the track’s heady synths. Last but not least, Ditti re-harmonizes Escadarias into a colorful and quirky reinterpretation.

Les douces, les rauques, les râpeuses, les mélodieuses, les rythmiques, celles des anges, les abîmées, les élimées, les perdues, celles de toujours, les susurrées, celles qui parlent et qui crient, les brutes et les tordues, les seules et celles qui se fondent, celles qui se font écho, celles qui s’entrechoquent, les familières et les étranges ? Tu les entends ? Tu viens avec moi ? On va les chercher.

On mettra notre oreille contre des coquillages, on écoutera aux portes ou du haut d’un balcon, on se parlera au téléphone, on se hurlera dessus peut-être, on se rira au nez, on se bercera sûrement, et on se gémira doucement au creux du cou.

On fera un bouquet de toutes ces voix et on se les offrira, comme on offre des fleurs des champs à sa mère quand on rentre d’une longue balade.

Native of Salvador de Bahia, Edson Gomes da Conceição is a brazilian singer that mixes the traditional rythms of samba, maracatu and afoxê with the groove coming from disco and funk. His song "Filhos de Gandhi" is an ode to one of Bahia's most spiritual and famous carnival bloco. The powerful bassline, the overwhelming chants and the frenetic percussions manage to convey the unique energy of Bahia's carnival, both joyful and ethereal. Psycho Tropiques's edit gives it the little boost it needed to be able to electrify dancefloors, while preserving its original ecstatic and exotic power.

Founded in 1984, Ando Drom (“on the road" in the Romany language) is a gipsy music ensemble from Hungary, which have devoted themselves to the preservation and continued evolution of the traditional music of their culture. Listening to their music, you "feel like dancing around a crackling fire on the earthen ground, dancing away the cold evening breeze with the starlight on my head, shooing away the sorrow of how to find tomorrow's bread".

Our dear friend Pierre, also known as Da Iguana delivers us a dubby/bluesy psychedelic EP, inspired by the Autumn he spent in Amsterdam.

During this trip,  he explored the city, mostly by bike, enjoying its fresh wetness, headphones in the ears. Weird rhythms, electronic synths, bluesy percussions, balkanic influences and guitar were his main tools to create those 3 tracks, with an atmosphere between joy and nostalgia.

Da Iguana - Ballad In A'Dam

While we sleep, deep relaxation and more troubled phases alternate. During REM sleep (in french, "sommeil paradoxal"), body's temperature increases. The heart beats faster. Without the lid to even move, the eyes rapidly shift in their orbits, demonstrating an intense brain activity.

Those moments would be the occasion for censored pulsions and fantasies to express through images, acts and various imaginary sensations.

Between sloth and rythmic frenesy, somnolence and awakeness, acoustic instruments, digital synthesis and home-recorded crushed samples, Alon(e)' second EP proposes a retrospective soundtrack of his childhish dreams.

Drendiela is a brazilian sound and visual artist. This DJ set was inspired by Chapada dos Veadeiros landscape, a paradisiacal place, made of hills, waterfalls and rivers.
